Another G2 Question

I know that the G2 throttle body has been covered ad nauseam, and I've read most of the posts. But i still have a question: is there a way to disconnect the wiring for the heated grips, or is there enough slack in the wiring to allow the grip and throttle tube to slide off the handlebar after the handlebar after the throttle cables are disconnected?

Yep I really pulled and there was some stretch to the wires. I was able to sneak it off the handlebar. I even whacked it with a hammer to get the plastic piece out and surprisingly the heated grips still heat

I am sure if you are even more gentle you shouldn't have any problems.
