I am looking for a General all-around Windows/Unix/Network adminsitrator.

This person would work in the IT department doing 'Jack of all Trades' Network support.

This includes anything from:

  • Installing and deploying computers
  • Supporting both internal, external and commercial applications
  • Providing network support
  • Light weight Cisco stuff
This is your typical 'Jr to Medium' network support position. In an IT group of (5) you'd be low man on the totem. So if you're a net-vet, or Sr. level person, we can't afford you.
We do support 24/7/365 mission critical stuff, but that rarely requires attention outside of normal hours. However you would be required to carry a Cell/Data enable phone (crackberry).

This position is in the Suburbs of Cincinnati, OH. Because this is a Jr/Med level position we won't pay to relocate, but we would work with the right candidate to get them here if that made sense.

If you are interested in this position, or know someone that is, feel free to PM and we can carry on the discussion off-line.

Thanks,

-MD

Awe yoos guys...

---

One side benefit of working here, is there are a few decent roads near by and having a supervisor that clearly recognizes the value of hitting a few good twisties at lunch time. It's far more refreshing than a power nap!

Nice. :yahoo:

I actually know someone that would benefit from this position and who I think would do very well for you. PM sent.

I don't know **** about computers..................

But if the pay is good I'm your man!

Which brings me to:

What does a redneck and Novell have in common?

They both mount SYS!!! :tease:

Hardy har har. I'm a CNE and I resent the Netware jokes.

Gee, Renegade, I'd be really interested, but I'm over-qualified (yet underpaid) and I hear it snows there.

Wow, I accuse rednecks for mounting SYS (just kidding for any potential ones I may encounter in WV next week!) and I get a Novell guy offended!

Did not see that coming.

For the rest of us, what the hell are you people talking about!!??
In the Windows world, your C: (generally) is just there automatically. But in Novell, when the system boots up it loads everything - showing you what it's doing and the statuses. This includes the volumes (drives), which it "mounts" to make them available.

I guess if you have to ask, you don't get the job. (just kidding)

The boot volume of a Novell server is call SYS:. It's mounted when the server starts up.

And then, your average redneck might occasionally mount his sis.

You probably got the second part, there might be 12 people got the first part. :)

Renegade, Are you sure you don't work at man-power and this is how you fill your quota???

It's code. Kinda like touching the foot of the guy in the stall next to you, and waving your hand under the stall divider.
