Just to report that I rolled over 54K on my bike this week and it remains quiet with no signs of ticking, pulls like a freight train, and after the second valve check (admittedly 2K late) the valves have always been in spec. This is while using OEM Yamaha motor oil at every oil change.

What am I doing wrong?

Erm, you're not an anal retentive, lawyer packin' engineer who has a severe case of blue balls? Um jes guessin... :dntknw:

Oh **** -- and did you notice, Iggy -- your post is in NEPRT??? Time for a melt down and threats to leave, don't you think?

If you did it to yourself, then may I recommend a shrink for the masochistic overtones of the anal retentive reflex that caused you to so minimize the importance of your own posted thought.

Ohh -- and try adding a handful of dirt with each oil change -- maybe then you can get it to tick properly.

Call me if you need to sue anyone. :yahoo:

...I guess I did. I must be punished. I must go ride a bike for 11 days straight for my transgression.

He's just publicly sucking up to Yamaha in hopes of securing a sizable campaign donation for whatever future endeavors he pursues.

he's done most everything already...

maybe yammi can support iggy in being the inaugural NAFO Queen...

could lead to a new sig for iggy: NAFO Queen and '07 IBA finisher

 :****:

We're all rather disappointed in your lack of creativity in trouble spotting. There has to be something: ghost clunk, tranny whine (not to be confused with being voted NAFO Queen), incipient center stand failure, lack of a center stand altogether as a result of believing your bike can do anything and mistaking if for an adventurer tourer and taking it off road, tires wear out too fast (can blame both Yamaha & a variety of tire manufacturers), doesn't run on diesel fuel, the bike leads you to spend too much time in online forums talking about it, the bike is too much fun to ride causing you to spend excessive time away from family and friends, the bike causes you to do things like ride 11,000 miles in 11 days .... c'mon, there's gotta be somethin'.
