Well, we both took off, and after about a mile or so, I noticed he wasn't behind me. I waited. And waited. Oh shit.
Turned the bike around, and made my way back , looking for any signs of him.
That's a horrible, horrible feeling. And these crashes happen to experienced riders. Please be careful.

Prayers for K-Flexx's loved ones.

:)

There's a quote that is wafting through my brain right now...

"Nobody ever got hurt by taking a corner 5 mph slower."

Lately, that comes up more and more as I ride the Sierras. So many blind and closing radius corners.

RIP, Kflexx. We'll never know, it could have been something as crazy as an animal or a big bug.

Ladies and gentlemen, puh-leeze be careful out there!

+1

Thanks for the post WC. Makes me take a close look at my own riding skills and how much more there is to learn, and realize that no matter how good I may think I am, the road will always be better. So unless I really want to find out what the consequences of riding beyond my limits are I should be satisfied to stay well within them and enjoy the ride.

My condolences to K_flexx's family and friends. Stay safe everyone.

Very sorry to hear of this unfortunate accident.

My wife and I rode through the dragon last sunday about 10 a.m.

I think that road makes folks ride beyond their limits and it's a real shame to hear of this.

When I'm out on the dragon I really enjoy the ride but you've always got to be aware of all that's going on around you more so on that road. RIP K- flexx.
