:angry2: Any other waiters out there who were supposed to receive by April the latest......like me?
I thought I was the last "April" waiter. I my order confiramtion date was 10/16/05. I was told March delivery initially, then April. I still don't have the bike, but the bags arrived today and the dealer says the bike is in transit and may arrive tomorrow. Another "April" waiter in my area (different dealer) had his bike arrive Friday 5/12 and it's ready to be picked up.

All this waitiing, frustration and disappointment has taken a lot of the fun out of getting a new bike for me. I will not forget the lack of regard that Yamaha (and in my case my dealer) has had for me during this entire ridiculous process.

I am still waiting also, bike was ordered by the dealer No. 8th. Now I know why we have this guy :assassin:

I'm still waiting, but was called today by Pat at Sunnyside. My bike is in and I'm picking up on Saturday AM. I was one of the last bikes at Sunnyside, so I'm guessing they received a "bulk" delivery today.

:D

GOOD NEWS :yahoo: I received my VIN today. The bike is here and I will take receipt next week. I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel . And now....I'm sure I'll have loads more questions for you fanatics ....er I mean fellow FJR lovers out there.

I called in and got my VIN, etc. today, too to get the insurance established for a Saturday pick-up. I've been able to maintain my composure for the most part since getting the call on Tuesday, but I'm losing my grip quickly and starting to get exciiiiiiitttttttted...

Maywannayamaha1300, I hate it when you keep showing that picture of me in your avatar :D

I ordered mine on January 4th, and it arrived at the dealer two weeks ago (I got it a week ago). I guess this is an advantage to buying from a dealer like D&H that sells so many of them. They get big shipments of them, and they also get people ahead of you who elect not to take it when theirs comes up.

for all of you waiters. I Hate to tell you this but after being pissed for about three weeks due the the "stealer" that I got this bike from, I just took my new blue in for it's 600 mile service. I've had her for two weeks come tomorrow and I gotta tell ya this, once you get on it for the first time you will completely forget the wait and will instead be focusing on riding this incredible machine as much as you can. I was so jacked my neighbor got the fever from me and went and bought an 06 last Saturday and now we are twinners. Can't help the enthusiasm, this is one really, really nice ride and a chick magnet, much to " my lady's" chagrine.

Enjoy and try not to be too frustrated....

Hey Pig, ya ever get to the "southland"?

fjr's ferever!!!! :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

Yup. my '06 was "worth" the agonizing long 6 month wait...it is one of the nicest (i.e.: Fun To Ride...) bikes I've had out of 77 over 42 years. Of course when a Corbin and bar risers are availible she will become complete....and comfy.

My dealer, NEC in Elkhart, IN, was extremely helpful in getting my bike to me by 31 March; so I guess she was the first one delivered in the USofA. DFO :p

I had an extensive conversation with a technical customer service rep over at Mamayama. She explained to me that the bags and locks had held up the bikes. I know it's been said before about past years but supposedly that was the reason for much of the hold up.
