I wonder if Wayne would consider a GB? Maybe set for March of 08?
Yes, it is set some time away, but it would give many of us time to pinch the pennies. And, give those who put the Solteks on their Credit Cards to pay them down a bit. It might help some for this GB to be around income tax time. I guess that could be bad for others. It would also be months before NAFO.

Thoughts?
After Christmas but before taxes might be hard for most. IMHO, maybe mid November works best? Get it in time for X-mas. Wayne may say that he just was at WFO with deals for FJR group, but only those that attended WFo would have seen the stuff and had a chance for the deal. Just my .02.

I have the CyclePort Kevlar Mesh Ultra Trek One Piece Click

I found it is easy to get in and out of, and is roomy enough to wear commuting over work clothes comfortably.

I've used it for about 4000 miles, and am very happy with the fit, comfort, and air flow through it. I've never tested it, but from the linked threads showing the suit after a crash -- I am confident in it's protection.

I got a great deal on it from a forum member that tried it and didn't like it.

I may be willing to part with it and pass on the great deal (see my profile, I'm selling the FJR).

If you're interested -- PM me,

or email me rhulcher AT yahoo DOT com. I also have the one piece zip in liner, and have never used the liner.

BTW: I'm 6'0", 185#, 32" Inseam

The original posted pictures of it are here

I went for my first ride today with my new CyclePort Kevlar Mesh pants, it was 88* here today. I have the added thigh pad's and where they are placed I sweet at that area. No they are not as cool as levi's but the added protective nature of the pants are worth the added heat..IMO The mech material is heaver that the reg Kevlar material and If I could change my mind I would go with just the reg Kevlar. I got the Black color since the Blue is not the same blue as Levi's.....Bright royal blue!!! Wish they had a levi blue.

Heavier? I would have thought just the opposite having never seen or felt any of this stuff. I wish Wayne would do a tour with the Cycle World Motorcycle Shows so I could see, feel and try on this stuff before spending the $$.

This probably is not going to happen. Wayne said that he used to do 30 shows a year (which was almost a full time job) but after 9/11 his sales at the shows dropped while the fees for going to the shows increased. He estimates he lost $150K his last year on the show circuit and probably will not be doing that again.

I understand your frustration, I would have bought my Cycleport suit 3 years ago if I had been able to actually see one in person.

I will try to clairify... Stretch Kevlar back panel is very similar to in feel and weight to Levis the Mesh Kevlar front panel is not at all like Levis its more like cordura in look and feel , air flows freely thu the pants which is noticable even when walking. The full wrap around thigh armor is what causes the sweeting in that area of my leg as NO air flow will come thu any of the armor. I have the optional Hip armor also.

Anyone that wants to see the pants in person PM me for directions. I am in Wellington Nv. 1 hour from Carson- Tahoe area.

I'll add my 2 cents. I have the 3/4 length mesh jacket and the mesh pants. I was leery about spending the money but I figured that it would be worth it if I ever need it. This summer I had a run in with a guard rail that through me off the bike. The gear did awesome. There was hardly a scratch on it and I didn't have any abrasions. I would recommend this gear to anyone. It is well worth the money.

The gear did tend to get a little warm when not moving. But while I was moving it worked great for the heat.
