Martin did you crash that ZX10?

Nahh, I don't crash ;-)

I hit a spare wheel lying on the freeway. It cost me a new oil pan, new tires and lower fairing. No more than $1000. But insurance totalled it because the mechanic wanted to charge $4800 for the repair and another $4000 to check the inside of the engine. Worst case scenario I can get a new engine for about $2000. They paid me $6500 and I got to keep the bike.... Now that means farkles :)

So in short I can overhaul the bike at max cost of $3000 and be left with $3500. Yeah I have a salvage title but who cares; I didn't plan on selling it anyway.

I was able to ride out the impact with the wheel but only after landing upon being thown 4-5 feet off the ground. She held fine but was wobbling a lot when I landed.

Oh FJstaR ye of little faith. When I say Im putting together a ride its happening soon. The only hold up on this is the road itself.

Love that Spot tracker. I've been following you all morning. Do you punch in every third cigarette stop or so?

Might just take you up on that Solvang ride. I got back on a bike this weekend, for the first time in ages. Rode my Ninja to Irv Seaver's then rode home on something completely different. Took the FJR out later on, and remembered just how much I love riding that bike.
