WOW! Maybe I need some glasses. Regardless of my not accurate analysis of how much tire I had left, there's no way I had more than 4K on that that tire when I left and I put a little less than 2K on this trip. I even put some air in the tires on Thursday and it didn't seem bad then. If my tire had looked like the one in your first picture I would have replaced it then. I have a tire changer so it's no big deal to throw one on and I usually replace them if I think it's getting close. I never try to squeeze every mile out of a tire. It's just not worth it to me. You can bet I'll pay a lot more attention to exactly how the tire looks from now on. At least I didn't wear it all the way out :dead:

I had my old rear pr2 in the trash pile for the next dump run. After reading this thread I have decided to hang onto it. It may have 1k left before the air shows...
