Just curious if anyone's windsheild motor ever kicked the can? Or if anyone has ever heard of one dying???

Are you having a problem or is it just idle curiosity? I remember someone posting about a problem some time ago but I don't remember if it turned out to be the motor or something with the wiring or switch.

Actually, no. Mine has been taken apart twice, gone through 2 wrecks, both of which broke the piece that attatches to the windsheild stay.
Works like a charm still. But I am going to buy one on ebay just to get that one piece. The whole assy. costs like $380 new. I will probably have an extra motor and was curious if I should just hold on to it in case, or sell it. But if no one needs one, I guess selling it will be tough.

So was air conditioning...................
dang good thing I got that option down here in the south........high today 95 humidity 80%........worth every penny while stuck in afternoon traffic. I never need to open the vents in my helmet anymore.

I was wondering the same thing after seeing the darn motor while swapping the nose on my bike; it's TINY. I have my screen in low all the time, except for rain, so it should have an easy life. Take care.

Yes, my '03 W/S motor quit auto retracting. Replaced under yamaha Warr.
