I got nothin' here...
Anyone interested in riding Cheaha over the next couple weeks may want to reconsider. (today's date: 8/24/06) As some of you know, this is my back yard. This morning, on my way out, got clocked by the locals running 67 in a 35. Guy was cool about it, gave me a warning. (the motorcycle gods have smiled on me today and it helped that I used to work with the department)
Anyway, he told me that they were going to have a heavy presence in the area for the next couple weeks. They are calling it a "click it or ticket" campaign. I think it may have something to do with the fact that there is a motorcycle rally in nearby Anniston Saturday. They know as well as we do that all those bikes won't be able to resist the mountain.
If you run it, watch your speed.
