a few weeks ago i was injured at work, which left me with a whole lot time on my hands at home. while i was no condition to work on my bike, there was no one to protected me from myself. the Throttlemeister and Küryakyn switchblades were no problem. the air-filter on the ae was a bit difficult but with that out of the way it was time to open her up and change the spark plugs. major mistake. major. after carefully getting under the tank, i thought i was home free. not so, on the first plug that i reinstalled i broke the plug off. in complete panic i posted my situation and asked for and received help. the next day i extraded the plug and my self from a sticky spot. after breathing a sigh of relief i decided to wait until i felt better before finishing the job. a couple of days later i had minor eye surgery. half blind and high i decided to finnish up. so after my wife dropped at home and headed back to work, her parting words " go lay down and rest, i'll be home in a couple of hours." so i headed straight to the bike. of course when i was done the bike would not start. so again i came straight to the fjr forum where i receive more great advice including a call to my phone trying to help me out. at this point my wife was home and my play time was over. well a week later healed up and out of meds, i went out and stripped her down and put everything back together. running fine.

so the long story is at an end. and what i learned; meds and the internet do not mix. and thanks again to everyone who helped in my moments of need.

meds and the interweb are fine, meds and machines are a :nono:

we're glad youre ok but, ya gotta leave the tools alone if you cant tell the difference between a ratchet and a visegrip! the only thing i like to play with on medication is a remote and myself!

Damn Syd! If you'd "let sleeping dogs lie" we'd have forgotten aboot yer "fox paws" by now.. Then again posting while "altered" is a good thing here.. Fer crissakes, lookit me!

****, the only way one can understand FairLaner is to be 'pissed', what with the queen's accent and all!

A: Welcome to the forum. You'll love it here!

B: Glad you and the bike are back up and running!

C: We don't apologize for getting drunk, high, etc., etc. and doing dumb ****. There just ain't enough time or space. Besides, it's expected! :alcoholic:

Yeah, I don't do the drunk or high thing...the dumb **** just comes naturally for me.
