Proof the bike has been enjoyed. A badge of honour, as it wear(s).In addition to the painted panel, you'll also wear/rub the frame area just above the shift lever. Some will laugh, but I've finally given up trying to keep my 62k mile '15 perfect. A few scuffs here and there are bound to happen!

It is usually caused by the inseam on your pants when it's located that high. If you wear jeans or some of the riding pants, the inner seam can be very abrasive on paint. You probably ride with your legs tucked in close to the affected area. Those are pretty light scratches and can be polished out. The clear paint protector film is your best bet for the future if it bugs you. I put it down the middle of my gas tank because that seems to get the most scratches from a belt buckle, setting my helmet on it, my key ring when you open the filler, etc. Good luck!Is anyone else having this issue? My left pant leg is scuffing the piece of bodywork just above the foot peg. Wondering how to prevent this, or best way to repair. This damage has happened after only 3,000 miles.
