I had planned to get the bike out today, but it SNOWED. WTH?!? Rain forecast for the next few days. I really hope that the 24th won't be the first day I get to put some serious miles on the new Russell seat...

Warm oil will soothe any....wait... nm

I'm going to ride to work this week (finally) and do the oil change the 23rd. I have everything ready, but I've already done one oil change (the 'after-sitting-all-winter-not-being-started-sitting-all-down-in-the-pan') since the snow has melted.

One of our buildings at work is taking a power outage (so that we can add more) the weekend I'm out of town. Shucks.. all that IT crap that might not be happy about a reboot and I'm gonna miss it. :assassin:

New Michelins came in just in time. Had them installed yesterday. Now, where's the 24th at?????? Time fly's on the bike and moves like a turtle till I can get going.

Well since I scored myself a flat tire on Tuesday, I'll be getting some new rubber tomorrow morning on the rear!

I have to put some stuff together yet and ship some boxes out to ES. Update the GPS with my route up there and then that will be ready.

I might suggest some prayers or laws of attraction type business for the weather folks. I've seen the 10 day and Thursday and Friday don't look sunny. Hopefully the forecast will improve as we get closer!

I know whatcha mean. I'm hitting the road next Wednesday. 5 days and a wake-up. Got the new Michelins on, got a new Escort hooked up, just waiting on the time to get here.

Can't you people keep a set of tires on?? :clapping:

sheesh

by the time I get there I'll have just around 7000 miles and I hope to return home at around 8000... I'll have to check out everyone's...um...tires and see if I should start looking for a set right after the scheduled service.

ONE WEEK TO GO!

Currently the forecast is calling for 60% rain on Friday and Saturday. Let's all pray to the rain gods to move on and let us have our time in the sun.

Arkansas has seen enough rain for a while. We need a drying out. The White River at De Val's Bluff is now cresting for a second time in 3 weeks.

Oh well, can't control the weather.

Almost same with me, new roadsmarts. already tried out the rear for 1,000 miles doing Tx hill country last weekend, front install this week and oil changed tonight. Just need to wash the dirt off and pray for dry weather

I don't put much stock in long range forcasts. They may end up being correct, but at this point it's just a WAG on their part. (Wild *** Guess) We'll see what unfolds when the weekend gets closer. I hope they are wrong.

The percentages could change and the wind might push the weather through faster.

I do have one question for more experienced wet-weather riders. Do you deflate the tires just a little bit to put more surface on the pavement or just ride 'em at the recommended PSI?

I'll still be there, just might take me longer and change my route.

Still beats working :)

I agree, WAG on their part. Will see what happens closer to the weekend.

Just trying to send some positive vibes to the weather Gods to leave us alone...

They are starting to reduce the percentages of rain in the forcast for all days. :clapping:

So it looks like whatever we're or whoever is doing just might be paying off.

 I guess you all are right. I've been following weather forecast. At first it wasn't really all that good but late today they changed it and it's looking better all the time.

In fact the forecast for the Decatur area on is sunny, partly cloudy, but no mention of rain for the days of 24th-27th. The forecast for Eureka Springs has changed to just the possibility of rain on the 24th. The 25th, 26th and 27th are all looking rain free, mostly cloudy and on the 27th all sunshine!!!
