STURGIS, S.D. -- Law enforcement officers have made 388 arrests for misdemeanor and felony drug violations and drunken driving at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and the surrounding area.

The breakdown is 188 drunken driving arrests, 162 misdemeanor drug arrests and 38 felony drug arrests.

Including tickets for other crimes, officers said that 1,250 citations had been written up.

Law officers investigated several injury accidents in the Black Hills Thursday, and 58 injury accidents have been reported so far.
