Artwork Accepted in California Biennial

I will be traveling to Sacramento this weekend to deliver a piece of my sculpture entitled "A Perspective Altering Device" to the final stage of jurying, for possible acceptance(?) into the 75th Crocker Kingsley Biennial Juried Exhibition to be viewed at the Tsakoupoulos Library Galleria on I street, downtown. Can't ride and have to take the cage. If I get final confirmation, will ride up later to see the show installed.

Yes, I am excited about the outcome of the jurying process myself. My slide submission was worthy enough beyond the first cut, and I am still in!

Sorry, can't reveal any pics yet <_< as I need to protect my imagery (original copyright), until it is documented and validated by this show exceptance (this is called = "good professional practice"!).

Will send a pic as soon as final acceptance is confirmed by early next week!

Also, would love to see any of the FJR1300 MC community in attendance at the opening reception in their riding gear! :clapping: That would be so kewel!

All are welcome to visit the show during the open hours of the exhibition in this public space!

10 AM to 5 PM.

No, "normal" open hours throughout the month of January are; Free admission, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 10:00AM - 8:00PM, Fridays, 10:00AM - 6:00PM, Saturdays, 10:00AM-5:00PM, and Sundays which is noon to 5:00PM. Closed on Mondays.

Opening reception is this coming friday, January 9th, at the Tsakopoulos Library Galleria, 828 I street, Sacramento, CA @ 5:30 to 8:00PM.

I "plan" to attend this opening and will be riding 300 miles (one way from home) on Friday afternoon, to arrive in Sacto at 5:00PM in my riding gear. My plan will be to "spruce up" (slightly) and then attend the reception until it is opportune to adjourn.

Anyone on this list who wishes to attend the reception is "welcome", and there "is" a multi level "structure" parking lot behind the library off J street. I am sorry, but I do not know what the parking fee is, or "if" there is one?

Oh, the title of this piece is "Mouse Trap (a perspective altering object)".

Media; blown glass, bent steel, fabricated wood, and graphics.

Very nice, George! Nice piece of work, and congrats on acceptance to the show. As a painter (a "competent amateur"), I appreciate and value craftsmanship. You are obviously a craftsman, and in my book that's a much greater compliment than calling someone an "artist," which we have too many of and most are ne'r-do-well knuckleheads with no training, talent, or craft. We can start with Jackson Pollack....but don't get me started.... :blink:
