Hey, everyone. Speaking of ******* mice, I have a very nice 1940 Dodge sedan and it is truly a survivor. Correct and rust free. It was stink free.....I parked it in a garage away from our home for two months and the little *******s got in the car and partied down. Nothing on this earth stinks as bad what these things leave behind. I have cleaned and vacuumed and cleaned and vacuumed and searched and sprayed all soft surfaces with the Enzyme treatment and the thing still stinks. Prior to me simply setting fire to the car, do you guys have any advice, short of a new $10,000 interior, as to how to get rid of the smell? I am not interested in masking the smell, I just want it gone. Smart *** answers are welcome. Thank you.

Have you tried those clothes dryer softner/anti static sheets like Bounce? They remove smoke odors and other stuff and we used to stick a couple under the seats of the company cars to keep them fresh. They do an amazing job.

Other than that no suggestions. I did some street rodding, and had to redo all the interior cloths from the mouse smell and mildew, but that was expected as a part of the rehab.

Okaaaaay... speaking of my furry little friends:

Today it is still below freezing with snow on the ground. I was thinking maybe I had better look a little further and see how much of an interest the little b******s had taken in making the FJR a winter condo, before I started it up again. So I popped the plastic to look at the air filter, which is considered the penthouse of the mouse world.

Hmmmm.... not good. Now I know how that packet of Decon disappeared almost over night. Back in the box for another go.

Latest attempt to clean out the neighborhood. Three types of traps and one packet of poison.

At least they are not in the house.

Down at my farm I have an old farm house. I have had problems with mice every winter but a couple of times I had pack rats. Those suckers would tear up glue strips and eat poison bait like candy and drag off traps. They chewed my mouse (ironic) cable and keyboard cable in two. I was also working on some .223 brass and one of them was dragging the brass off.

One I caught in a Havahart Live trap and the second one I got up in the middle of the night to put wood on the stove and it was lying there asleep on the floor. I had a log for the fire and was trying to decide how hard to thump it without splattering it on the floor or so soft that it got away. I got lucky and thumped it just right.
