Ok... I'm looking at an '05 w/ABS for $10,400... Sounds good to me... What about you guys/gals...

I guess all that's left is to ride her when she comes in later in the week...

Well - I got a great deal for an 05 ABS for 11,967.19 out the door. $10,400 sounds almost too good to be true! Is it new and is it really ABS? If so - grab it.

$10,700 out the door for my '05 ABS. $10,400 + tax sounds OK that would be $11,024 if they don't charge you all of the freight and prep.

Good Luck,

MO

New or used?...That cannot be new unless they are going to add some extra charges to get the price up. That price is way under dealer cost. A dealer is not going to sell an FJR for that much under cost without sticking in "hidden" charges.

Now used, that is a great price. I sold mine with 11,500 miles, slider, heated grips, the heat fixes, and powerlet for $10,500 two months ago.

I would go for it on a used bike as long as it is perfect, but I would be very careful about the deal on a new bike.

THis is a NEW '05 with ABS... it has some scratches on it that they are going to take care of... is was purchased from the manuf. through an auction...

That's why I'm interested in it so much... I know what the paperwork for a new one should look like.. I sold cars for a while and the paperwork is the same...

Very good price... make sure it's a U.S. spec. bike... IIRC, some bikes from other countries aren't eligible for the U.S. YES warranty.

You folks on the East Coast and Mid-west always seem to pay at least $1k less than we do here on the Left Coast for the same bikes. Our dealers must really be greedy or paying high rent for those prime locations.

"...purchased from the manuf. through an auction"...???????????

What? Winger you really need to explain this. I understand the paperwork looks fine, but the circumstances do not sound fine.

Only trying to help.

Blue...gotta pay for your crazy real estate prices out there somehow.

What it is... is that if a bike is damaged (scratched etc) the manuf holds it for sale later.... the dealers get to bid on them to sell... The dealer can then fix it or sell as is just like any other bike... I've seen this when I sold cars... it is a great way to get money off on a vehicle...

Man, what a deal! That's less than what I paid for my used '04 a year ago... but my bike did come WELL farkled & with a 4 year YES.

Winger2B, your $10.4 “deal” really is dependent upon the cosmetic damage and your location.

Best known prices on 1st round PDP ‘05: Non ABS $10.0 & ABS $10.8.

Second round PDP add $300 dollars to both.

Note: these are prices found though out the Midwest and include all costs EXCEPT TT & L. Happy shopping. :D

Winger..., buy it now and ride it. If you decide that you don't like it, you should be able to sell it for about the same amount.

Wow! That's like getting the ABS option for free. I'd say at $10,400 for 05 ABS, buy it and ride it like you stole it...in this case, it is a "steal."

Its a good deal, its the same way I got F150 03 dealer got it at an auction as a used vehicle. maybe used in a golfing event Etc. Yes you definately got a deal go for it.
