Shame on You Bluesy, for talking about SacramentoMike, Dr. Rich and FastJoyRide that way!Very cool! Love those old war birds form WWII.
At the last Tico warbirds airshow, they had 3 B-24s, 2 P-51s, and something like 10 or 12 T-6s of all different variants, all flying at once. And later a B-2...the "Spirit of Pennsylvania"... whew. We have a B-17, but she was down for corrosion repair. There is absolutely nothing in this world like the sound of those radial engines at full roar. My favorite bomber has always been the B-17 and for fighters, it's the P-51. Another unmistakeable sound!
I hate to say it but you are right! I need to get out there and see that place. I have been to Mesa twice for work but didn't have time to visit. That is on the bucket list. That and Heart Attack Grill.Shame on You Bluesy, for talking about SacramentoMike, Dr. Rich and FastJoyRide that way!Very cool! Love those old war birds form WWII.
https://www.azcaf.org/ If you really love those old war birds from WWII, come on over to our CAF Museum at Falcon Field in Mesa, Arizona. Fabulous collection and rides!

The FJRBluesman edit...Papa Chuy blah, blah, blah..
One of a few life regrets for me - Reno air races 1979 I was offered a ride in a P51, *running the course*. It was late, and I had to be back in LA for work the next morning or lose my job. I should have lost that stupid job... :angry2: :glare: One lifetime opportunity missed. If you have the chance and $$$, hitch a ride and take your GoPro.
Richard? Take a ride for all of us, eh?
If I saw/heard that, I'd **** my pants. :yahoo: The B24 is an awesome sounding aircraft...not that the 17 isn't! Usually every year we get a visit from the Collins Foundation's "Nine-O-Nine" (B-17) and their "Witchcraft" (B-24). According to Collins Foundation, their B-24 is the ONLY B-24 left flying in the WORLD.Hearing 3 B-24s take off one after another was worth all the sunburn. One of the P-51s yanked it hard right at takeoff and almost touched a wingtip. Boy, did the crowd jump.
Anyone know the significance of the Motorcycle in the upper RH of the photo?? drCant wait to see/hear this plane. DR
