Yesterday Lee and I did parkway betweeen Ashville and 181 + alot of roads off the parkway leaves are about done some lower stuff still has a little color

Which way are you going out, Bob... are you taking 64 to Ivy & dropping down thru 56? There is a slim chance that I could make it... but slim. Work load has lightened considerably. Gonna approach my boss today.

That is the plan. I am leaving early, though, as I want to ride the parkway all the way to Floyd and then take 8 to 220. I am spending Friday night with family in Greensboro. Satuday morning my plan is to slab on 40 to Asheville and then south on the BRP for as long as daylight allows and then find somewhere to stop for the night. Sunday is still unplanned. Probably head north to the Snake and then back into Virginia.

Post or PM when you park it Sat night. If you want some company Sunday I could chase you back up to Mt Rogersish.

Well the leaves were not great but the riding was. I had the BRP to myself. All the rangers I saw were going in the other direction and didn't bother with me even when I was doing almost 70. Heading out shortly for the day. Hope to make Cherokee.

Well I made Cherokee by 1600 so I headed to Maggie valley. At the Maggie Valley Inn for the night. Great ride today. Again the color is pretty well gone by but the riding was great slow going after Mt. Mitchell for about 40 miles. Then made good time the rest of the way to Cherokee. Didn't see a ranger all day. Heading to Wheels Through Time in the morning.
