Looks like two good friends had a bad day, I wish them both a speedy recovery.

Here is a quote from the Pheonix Area Cycle Riders website, posted by Laura R.

"I have just heard some bad news about one of our members, RT John. (John is wearing the red shirt on our front page and has been riding long distance for quite some time.)

Apparently he and our friend Burke both went down near Bishop, CA, and this is what was posted on Yogi's site from what he had gotten from Burke:

John Beck and I were injured in an accident near Bishop,ca. John has been airlifted to reno nv. He has broken bones in his neck but no neurological damage. He and I both have broken wrists and I have a busted shoulder. John is stable and will be ok. His daughter is planning to come to reno. I am in a motel in bishop waiting for my brother to pick me up.

If you don't know, I refer to John as my hero! In all things motorcycle related, he's been there and done it! He and I have done two Iron Butt rides and had another one planned for the spring. John has over 400,000 documented miles on his BMW's and is one of the nicest guys you ever want to meet! This goes to show that stuff happens to everyone, no matter how many miles are under your belt.

Please say an extra prayer tonight for John and Burke and their quick recoveries! And, please, please, be safe out there!

I will post more as I hear it."

Excellent to hear the neck injury, while bad, isn't as bad it could have been.

Heal up quick fellers, we need you on the road!

Thanks for the good news, amidst the bad news, Hycle. No motorcycle accident is ever good news but it sounds as though this one will not be as terrible as it potentially could have been.

Sending good vibes, prayers, mojo and whatever else is needed for a fast and complete recovery. Time for some new bike shopping?

I'm very sorry to hear that. Do you know RT John's real name? I can't place that handle, but might know him. Will most definitely be thinking of them both and praying that surgery is successful. Isn't Reno John's K(C?)athy a nurse at the trauma center in Reno???
Totally sucks.
Kitty, unfortunately I don't know RT John's real name and I'm not certain if SkooterG knows. I went to our AZ Beemers website hoping to find a clue and saw he did join us on the Toys for Tots Ride we hosted in December, he attended with Badcat Burk; he's a member of BMW Rim Riders Phoenix. I'll wait until tomorrow afternoon to call Burk and SkooterG. Don't know about RenoJohn's wife Cathy, regarding which hospital she works at; and don't know which Reno hospital RT John is at.
Greetings Kitty, I have been on the phone today with RenoJohn, SkooterG and Art Montoya - vectervp1. As HYCLE - Mike has reported, RT John's name is John Beck.

John Forsythe is with his brother Burk - Badcat; and, they are on their way back to Phoenix in John's truck. SkooterG is also rolling home behind them to Scottsdale.

Received a test message just now that RenoJohn and wife Cathy are on top of RT John's situation up in the Reno Hospital and we'll probably know more very soon!

This is small potatoes, compared to the good news that we just received about RT John's improved condition! But, my illegitimate bastard son SkooterG just sent me a text his "Dirty Old Whore" is now leaking coolant. Hell's Bell's, better go get my M/C trailer from the storage yard before it closes at sunset: For a SkootyG rescue!
