Has anybody used the Barkbuster Storm one-point (bar end mount) handguards on their FJR?  (Yes, I did a Google search already).  I tried some V-Strom guards last summer, and loved the wind protection, but they interfered with the wind screen at full lock, and finally fatigued at the mounting hole and broke.  I would also be interested in other solutions, but don't want the big bar-mounted mittens or stuff like that. I just want to keep the wind off my hands without having to modify a butt-load of other stuff, and the Storms look like they might be the solution.  A good winter project, while the bike is idle.  Thank you in advance for any information and opinions.

Note to Yamaha;  On my 1982 Seca Turbo, the turn signals were built into the upper fairing, near the mirror mounts. They flared out a little, and looked very integrated. The genius part was that they were right in front of the handlebar grips, providing really good (not perfect, but really good) wind protection.  Simple, effective, and stylish to boot, if you're into that sort of thing.  Maybe this could be a part of the next-gen redesign (somewhere around 2030, I'm guessing).

I have them installed also. They keep a lot of water off my gloves in the rain. I have little experience with handguards, and was a bit surprised that they didnt redirect more wind. I like that they are easy to remove, which I do in the summer.

Easy to fit, not that expensive, subtle logo, not shiny cheap looking plastic; whats not to like?

I’ve used them for a couple of years on my FJR’s. Easy to put in, easy to remove. They make a big difference, but if your hands get cold easily, they won’t replace heated gear.

With the storms, I go longer without needing any heat, get less wind up my sleeves, and my hands stay dry in light rain.

I generally remove them when it’s hot, but they aren’t actually unpleasant even then.

Zero shield interference, stock, touring, VStream, Cee Bailey.

Bark Buster Blizzard on mine. Not stylish but you would have to go with something like the hippo hands to get more protection. On long trips I may remove and install them several times. Since they are fabric, semirigid they can be squeezed in the luggage amongst other stuff.

Plus one for the BBZ
