This seems like a small thing but I've noticed (having owned 2 FJRs) that the battery nuts don't stay in place when removing the bolts. It's a little tricky getting the bolts back in without losing the nuts. My Suzuki battery has nuts held in place so battery cable removal and re-installation are a breeze. I've scoured this forum and haven't found any subjects on it. Anyone have a solution?

slide a little piece of foam or a small piece of wood under the nut before you losen the bolt......nut stays in place. I'd remove whatever you use after you have things back together.

I use a magnetic probe to hold the battery nuts in place until the bolt grabs the treat. This will give you a magnetic attraction so you can make use of that woodie.

I cut small pieces of dish sponge and put them under my nuts. Of course I do this in the privacy of my own garage and make sure the curtains are down.

I used heat shrink.

Cut a piece the width of the battery terminal and place it under the nut. The stiffness of the heat shrink springs the nut up against the top of the opening.

Not at his age. Gravity is a harsh mistress.

Just ask Barb or any of the other girls.

Ooh, that's gonna hurt. Alot.

Honestly? ??

I can't believe anybody would ask a question like this... :dribble: Are ya sure you are ready for anything without training wheels?

**** man.. Just stab sumpin' under the damn nuts..

Shame on you klowns and gurls that actually assisted in this excruciatingly complex task..

Oh You too Howie. ;)

It HAS been a puzzlement for a long time. Sheep may give you enlightenment, goats give you a bleeting good time.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Owosso,_Michigan Shiny, did research on where this ****** Bag is from, no wonder he's so ****** up, he's from Shitwater County, MI!

Back on thread topic, just jack off on the battery nuts like Bustanut joker did, glue them into position. A little Michigan spooie is cheaper than longer bolts cost you!

Stuffing something underneath the nuts is the obvious answer. It's what I've had to do each time I've removed the bolts. Sounds like you're an expert on getting stuffed beneath the nuts.....festus. Maybe you'd like me to stuff my size 13 in your manhole. Course, then I'd need a new pair of boots... B)
