Ridin' to work at around 0610 this morning I passed a covey of about 6 HDs in their natural habitat - on a trailer!! What a beautiful sight! Even gave the driver a nice wave as I passed by...

Daytona migration. They won't even start till March 3rd, built into the EFI programming.

On my last trip to Sturgis I kept a tally of trailer/truck bed/motor home "assisted" HD's from Worthington, MN to Ellis AFB. 69% of the HD's were being "assisted" in their travel. Proves my assumption that the majority of HD's outside the city limits travel in an "assisted" mode. (Gotta keep that mileage down for resale you know!)

I also spotted 7 helmets among the 250 bikes being ridden, including mine. 4 of those were the plastic WWII German-style shells that are not DOT approved. A .08% helmet ratio. HD logo'd bandanas were the rage amongst the riders of the Motor Company product. Not sure if they are DOT approved but I must assume the more valuable orange ones are.

The "assisted" bike owners definitely appeared likely to be HOG members. :haha:

The V-Twin RIDERS definitely were dominated by the knuckle-draggers... :skull:

Most of my vehicles are ready to be recycled when I get done with 'em. If I wanted to invest in a Harley (or any vehicle), I would have bought their stock. I'm just hoping to have the FJR paid for by the time it's done for. Then reload and repeat.
