I have used Red Wing lace up boots for years. Keep them oiled up they keep you dry, great to walk in and they last.
Did you order off their website? Or did you find a dealer near you? I'd really like to try on their Lady Star GTX to see if they would work for me. I don't want to have to pay $389 to find they don't work. If you ordered from their site, how long did it take for you to receive them?Well, about ten days ago I splurged and ordered what I thought to be the best boots I could find -- Daytona M-star GTX. Very pricey indeed, but these are hands down the best boots I have ever seen. They are extremely comfortable and offer protection far superior to my Sidi On Road Sympatex (shin, ankle support, rear reflector). And they don't feel like moto boots. They are COMFORTABLE!!
If you want the ultimate. Try these pups.

Did you go ahead and get the Ladystars for your wife? If so, how does she like them and can she wear them for walking around after the ride? I am looking at getting them and would love to hear her feedback on them! Thanks!I agree. I have been looking into which boot for about a month now and I am going to go with the Daytona Roadstar and the Ladystar for my wife. They are a ton of money but from what I have heard from others who own them they are an investment.Funny. I started reading this from the beginning and all I could think was "They're your feet - don't screw around. Go with Frey Daytonas."
Glad you made the right choice.
Enjoy!
