I have a GPS in my car and when I travel in it, I mostly use it like a live map. I look ahead of the icon on the screen to see upcoming roads and such. I don't use the routing all that much. I usually know where I'm going, but like to know exactly where I'm at and when my turn is coming up. My friend has a 2610 and I have played with quite a bit, but it seems that the vertical space on the screen is only about 1 inch or so. If I zoom out, then the roads disappear. I have been thinking of the I-way for the bigger screen, but was wondering what else people thought about this. I have never worked with one of the 3d effect displays. Maybe that would give me what I like.
