There goes another almost hour of my life. I meant to just jump through it in a few minutes, but damn, it was too compelling.

For the impatient, the "misery" part, or at least the nastiest part of the misery, started about 33:45 in. Myself, I'd have turned back at about the 4 minute mark. Dem guyz is nutso!

Back in the day Pops Niehart and Papa Chuy used to do that, at least in our dreams we did it! JSNS, Senile!

I just don't get what's "fun" about that. Scared shitless half the day and pushing the bike as much as riding it only pisses me off. There's way better trails to ride than on the edge of a cliff jumping down rocks and the penalty for a mistake being death, or the loss of an $8000 + dollar piece of equipment.

I thought the video was going to highlight the Baja 1000, and instead, all we got was a glorified ride report which peaked when his buddy threw his bike off a cliff. They could have done that anywhere.

Pops Niehart, we are NOT inviting HotRodZilla or SacramentoMike or Bokerfork to our next off road expedition in Peru! JSNS, *******!

Absolutely Nuckin Futs! Good thing young guys bones ( and brains) are made of rubber so they don't break anything!

Awesome. I'm sitting here watching thinking "Hell yea" only to realize that my wife is looking over my shoulder. I looked at her and she made a comment similar to HotRodZilla.

That is one awesome video and some great terrain to ride and yes very challenging you would a very good off road rider. Why do we do it ? Because it is there and a whole lot of fun. I have ridden terrain like that here state side and single track with no where to go except down on both sides does scare the hell out of you. those rocks are they went over were pretty rouge and tuff. what a trip. Would I ride that route you betccha

Thanks for posting. Interesting video and I enjoyed it very much. It reminded me of my youth, when I was young and more reckless or in the eyes of the young more adventurous.

Thanks Don. Makes me want to ride and sell the bikes all at the same time.
Exactly this! Kudos forbthem, i wouldn't have the stones, and i know i don't have the experience. Skills i have, practice i lack so the skills lean heavily towards theory, sadly.

I with Zilla on this one though being of Polish heritage I had to learn the hard way and now have some aftermarket body parts (artificial knee). I have some friends that go over to Europe and go on some extreme off-road tours that are basically training for the Romaniacs and think it is fun. I don't want to push a bike up a hill that I can't even climb on foot. That is why I bought a vehicle that has a motor, so that the bike can get my fat *** up to the top without me having a heart attack from physical exertion.

We have a hill climb in the Ganaraska that is fairly steep and all loose sand. If you don't make it you just tip over and have a nice soft landing and it is lots of fun to just pin it and work your way to the top. Green Mountain up in Haliburton is solid Cambrian Shield rock and does not have any give at all when you fall on it. Conditions have to be perfect for me to even try it because my orthopedic surgeon is getting tired of seeing me and replacing motorcycle parts after the bike cartwheels down through the trees and rocks gets expensive.
