Since I have been gone for a month and have another trip planned on the 30th for two weeks I will need the kitchen pass for this ride. I get home the night of the 24th and the Feej needs to be dusted off and prepped for my two week ride anyway :yahoo:

Put me down as a maybe.

I swear two weeks in India and two in Manila really put a hurt on the body food wise. A good lunch in BB is exactly what I need

I'd love to go, but I can't. Other family duties. This will be the third time I've missed a Big Bear trip. I have yet to get up there on any scooter.

Maybe the 4th time is a charm.

Maybe you are scared of the twisties or hitting another bird :assassin:

You're probably right, I hit a squirrel on my NoCal run. I'm pretty traumatized from the whole ordeal, PETA may come after me too. :dribble: Maybe I'm afraid of hitting a bear!

Dan, I think as your bike has sat gathering dust for 4 weeks you need to have a test ride before your big trip and Sunday's trip to BB is just the ticket. How can your Missus say no to that.....

whoever wants i guess we could meet at the starbucks in redlands like before around 830 and ksu at 9 before it gets to toasty.

Hey! I am new on the list here and I would be coming from the other side of the hill...

Anyway, I took my wife for a ride up there a couple of weeks back and ate at a sandwich shop (and much more) called Mountain Munchies. It is in the parking lot of the Stater Bros grocery store.

It was at my dad's reccomendation. (He's a Shadow 1100 rider out of Barstow) I have to be honest with you, the food was really really good! Huge portions and GOOD!

Just a suggestion. I cannot meet you up there on Sunday due to my job. I am on staff at a church in Victorville. But I will be up there as often as I can on Saturdays.

Holler if there is ever a Saturday ride.

Ride safe!

You read my mind and thats what I'm going to use as an excuse. Maybe she will tag along this trip :clapping:

Hey I was looking at the menu you posted that is quite impressive and looks like a place to tide and eat. Of course it will have to be in Sept. when it cools off some here in Nor Cal Sacto area What about lodging there?

No lodging at this place but the entire area is a skii resort with lotsa lodging nearby. There are hotels. B&B's, cabins and everyithing in between. Make sure to let us know when your down this way and I'm sure you will have more then enough guides to show you around. I have a nice 200 mile loop I like to do on weekends that involves Big Bear and the newly re-opened Angeles Crest HWY 2 :yahoo:
