I think I brought this up before but I don't find it so we will try it again.

Is there any interest in having the kids from the local swim team set up a bike wash at the hotel??? It would be a per bike donation ( I was thinking 10.00 ). The swim team has to provide their own travel funds. Seems like a good idea.

Post up with any ideas. If we don't do this I am sure there will be a hose and a bucket for our use.

Don't look for bikinis or wet tshirt contests. This a high school swin team. Could probably move up to the college level but I am sure the cost would increase also.

Ray, I'm there - I'll pay a bunch of willing to work kids to wash my bike. And if my SO can make WFO with me, (which means the cage,) I'll have them wash the van.

Folks, I have a daughter in high school, and fund raising opportunities like this are vitally important to our kids being able to participate in after school sports and activities. Please give it some thought.

KD -

Sounds good to me, count me in. But if Warchild calls my bike ghey I'm going to sic the swim team on him and make him put on a Speedo.

We'll have two bikes there - FJR and VStar 1300 (wife's)

wow!

Do these kiddo's know what they are in for with this group?

Some bikes will have a $20 surcharge if there is excessive anal retentive-ness! Lots of ghey owners bikes will be present! :p

Are you offering up the local swim team?

Bikes are harder to wash than cars, are they aware of this?

Are they going to be educated in washing bikes?

I'm in.

If it looks like we will have enough interest I will be there a day early to make sure they know what gets washed and what doesn't.

I have been in touch with the people in charge of the team and the people at the hotel and it a go with them.

I'm sure my FJR could use a cleaning after the high desert

of Oregon, so, Count me in, who knows, may be worth

the price of two mixed drinks in the bar...

If it rains on the way up there, I'm in...If it doesn't rain, I'm in too.

My wife used to coach a highschool cheerleading squad...Fundraising is a *****. If my bike don't need washed, I'll just give 'em the $10 for having to put up with the rest of you twisted *******s.

Doesn't seem to be a lot of interest. Lets get this thing going so it doesn't need to be canceled. I don't think the kids wan't to sit around and listen to this bunch tell lies about their adventures. :D

Ray,

You will have to stage this correctly. Like, right in the middle of the parking lot, with all the other parked bikes around. Make sure you don't do this in the back, out of sight, etc.

Also need to know what kind of water is going to be used. Hard water or soft water. Spots or not spots. Will the bikes be dried too? (at least the painted surfaces)

You are welcome to show up early and stage it if you want to. I assume we will have the same spot as last time so it will be right outside the main side door which is easy to get to and in good view of the rest of the parking. I have no clue about the water and don't really care. Drying the bike will be taken care of as well as possible. Beside getting the bike clean the idea is to help out the local kids and create good will. I will bring or purchase there some good soap instead of dish soap and some wash mitts. Anything else will get figured out as we go.

Ken's subtle concerns about hard water, spots etc is a ploy,

He, like most other interested perv's want to know the bare

facts, can he wear a thong to the bike wash event?

If Ken wears a thong it will be considered child abuse for the swim team members.

Count me in.

I hope these kids know what they are in for.

Iam from just up the road in Spokane. And believe me, after only a couple of hrs of riding in this area the bug splatter will be awsome! Any concerns about water will be secondary.
