Talk about thinking outside the box.....At interstate speeds wouldn't this thing ripple like what it essentially is, a tent in a hurricane?

The seamless doors are slick though!

The BMW marketing pukes really had to stretch for that acronym.

It always amazes me that companies will pay people big bucks to sit around and dream up stuff like that.

Well that IS where new ideas come from. It's called R&D. That's the same place the transistor and a lot of other things came from.

Then you throw it out in the marketplace and see if it sinks or swims.

Personally, I like the idea of never having to worry about a shopping cart denting my car. I can't see how they're going to keep it from drumming at high speed, though, but then I'm not getting those big bucks.

Bad. Ass. Love it.

I'm still surprised that no one's built something closer to

? The world is changing quickly. We're in exciting, scary times.

You missed my point. I'm saying the acronym is weak. Not the new idea.

Whatever happened to the plastic side panels on Saturns?

I think it's been done before and works for me.

It's called the VA-GINA and snugly wraps around the driver.

Handles like a dream when wet.

Can be completley under water when in use.

Adapts to different drivers.

Marketing has proof, men will pay dearly for just a short ride.

I am sure I have missed some of the other great features. please post your thoughts.

Wups... sorry! Yeah, too much hanging around with house-apes.

I guess they went down with Saturn. This is the first I've heard of them. I suppose they didn't consider it a selling point.

You know, that was one of the first things that came to my mind when I heard the acronym too.

I just didn't want to (appear to) be so crass as to say it...

She winked at me..
Nothin' can be finer than a winking 'Gina... ;)

Yes, quite likely. Remember this is just a concept explporing the idea itself. I am sure if the thing were to become a viable product, they would solve that issue.

A two layer skin filled with a fluid or perhaps some kind of electro-harding plastic that can be made hard or soft by electrical charge. Imagine using an electrochromic materail too...you could not only change the shape of the car but it's color.

The idea of having a shape-shifting color changing car would help me avoid some of those nasty speeding tickets.
