Will a brake light modulator (Kisan tailblazer) work with the MC Cruise or will I need to install a relay to make the cruise work. Also, how difficult is it to install headlight modulator(Pathblazer). Thanks

I don't see any reason it won't work fine

the flashing circuit for modulators are in the unit itself and doesn't affect the wiring of the bike at all

the CC taps into the positive hot wire into the brake light, same and separate from the brake modulator

I'm not a fan of headlight modulators (they will see you, but the flashing is an attraction to the human brain and some will be hypnotized by it and stare at you until they hit you - people and you go where you are looking). There's plenty of instruction on the internet about about this - I removed it from my used bike upon purchase. I still have the light sensor sticking out my dash which tells the unit if it's day (flashing on) or night (flashing off).

good luck and hope this helps

just my 1.5 cents

let's ride safe and be careful out there,

Some of the brake modulators leave a voltage on the brake light wire which the cruise sees as brake light on, even when it's off. I don't know if the McCruise is sensitive to this, but the AVCC is. When the brake light is not 0 volts with no brakes, the AVCC won't engage.

Somebody else nees to speak about the McCruise, or even give them a call.

yes, I understand leds always take some small amount of voltage. I was thinking of the problem with bikes with led brake lights instead of incandescent and filks who had to replace their updated led brake light back to the stock incandescent. I guess if the brake modulator leds are on as running lights without the brake, that could be a problem.

Geez, my hyperlites are on as running lights.

Am I going to have a problem installing the AVCC because of this ???.

Dj Bill,

Did you have the Kissan Bulbs or Kissan in-line brake modulator?, I have the little box you put in-line with the brake wire, I plan on putting a Audiovox CC will the -n-line still work with CC ?

Thanks,

Marcus

just had smitty put in my cc,had to remove my kisan rear lights, wouldnt work with the cc.
Don't know why, I run an LED light bar with my cc. Use the relay.
Please provide info on relay and installation.
Got your pm, missed this post, sorry for the late response: Cruise control relay. Wiring the relay is simple and makes it simple to add stuff later if you want to, I can't see a reason not to do it even if you don't currently have led taillights. The link inside the above link to the Valkyrie website is well-done, worth looking at.
