When bolts or studs are heated to loosen Loctite you can apply a wax candle to any exposed threads and the melted wax will wick in along the threads and help in the removal of the fastener. This was a recommendation from a Loctite representative during a product seminar. I've tried it and it works, (I have a couple of small "birthday candles" in my toolbox for this use).
Where do you find exposed threads at the rotor mounting bolts?

After you chisel out some of the hub material?

Wouldn't one be better off melting it away with a torch? :assassin: Need to heat it anyway.

Won't work. Once the aluminum gets hot enough to flow, you can't get it back where it was.

When you chisel it away, you can glue the chunks back with red loctite. Stronger than the original matrix. :D

Well Howie, I tell ya...we better stay away from either one of these methods , if we can help it <_< because the red loctite won't hold the chunks in place either :p .....I'm still looking for exposed threads on the rotor mounting bolts.
