Well, sorry to report, but no special stories about my way home today. We left AuburnFjr's house and there was some snow and ice. Last night we parked the car on the driveway above the house. (Those that have been there understand why) Made it all the way down I5 without a problem. Was pretty clear. After we got on I205 about 1/2 way to Vancouver there was alot of white on the ground. We slowed it down and took it easy. Closer we got to the house, the more the whole street was all white. Found the dog all cozy inside, she was probly sleeping on our bed. Well, sense we are home, we will drive our 4x4 and be fine.

It was great seeing those I knew, and meeting a couple I didn't already know. Barry, Jean sorry I missed you guys. Still did not get to meet some of those I was hoping too, including the Portland guys. Also, a huge (cannot express enough) thank you to AuburnFjr and family, as they are always great friends and the most amazing hosts. You guys and anyone else on this board for that matter, is welcome at my home when they are in my area. It's not nearly the room Bryan and Marissa have, but its a room none the less. Thanks again guys and see all of you in not too long future.

Carl

Thanks Dave for setting it up.

I'll have to come to more of these. Great fun and got to see more of our Forum friends.

Can't wait for the Pictures George!! are they ready yet? :)

A big thanks to Dave for organizing the get together! :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

Now I can put some faces to the names on the board. And as a bonus I won the Harley rental door prize - just what I need to really appreciate how fine of a machine the FJR is.

I must say, I'm tired of the horrible weather forecasts during the bike show. This is the 2nd year I left the bike home, but in hindsight could have ridden in. Only 1 hardcore (crazy?) rider took their FJR to the show. Now it looks like my FJR will be parked all week because although the main roads are clear, some back roads and parking lots are skating rinks.

See ya'll on the road once they clear up.

Thanks for setting this up Dave. Good to see everyone. I went back on Sun. with my wife to get my Christmas presents and the whole show was pretty much empty. Had almost the whole place to ourselves. People must have been afraid of the weather.

Could be, but according to what's been thrown around on the forums, the word got out that it wasn't worth the trouble. It was a little of both for me. Saturday I got rained out (I drove my ZX-14 about 6 blocks) & Sunday I got snowed out. :dribble: Anyway, I was after "stuff" & I guess there was a shortage of "stuff" sellers. Display-wise, I have no interest in seeing old bikes or the "retro" stuff.

From what I heard from some Ducati guys, it costs a small fortune to have a space in IMS. I heard a lot of them bailed. I don't blame them really. ROI.

Maybe next year.

Dave... Thanks for putting the gathering together and the trinkets and trash. Great job of hitting up those vendors. It was awesome meeting new faces and seeing those from previous rides. Hope to meet and ride with more this coming year.

Happy Holidays.

FYI -2 at my house this morning in Cashmere... good thing the bike is stored safely in the living room!!

That is a good spot. Put in the Easy Rider DVD kick up the volume and ride..
