Bucks Lake and La Porte Roads-open for business

Rode both today on the KTM-a proper flogging of the 990 indeed

Hearing the air box growl and the Akra's pounding out the v twin roar is still a moving experience.

Absolutely no traffic, debris or critters. Cleanest I have ever ridden either road.

Still too early for logging trucks or boat trailers to drag debris in the corners. Hell... even Old Mike could do it on the Wing.

Go ride it. Now.

DC, the Wing is for the open ocean. I use the mighty 990 for river duty.

Seriously doubt a FJR could keep up with the Katoomon these two roads. Come up and give it a try

Quincy/La Porte road is one of my absolute faves in the northern Sierras. Good to hear it's in good shape. Will be there in June.

I have a brother- and sister-in-law in Paradise. Haven't been up there in awhile. I used to run up there on the FJR and spend Saturday night with them, home Sunday. When are you going up there?
