Does anyone know if the windshield spacers keep bugs from being directed into your face with the windshield down? I like it all the way down on back roads and in hot weather, I am 6'1 and ride an 06.

1. Why do you need windshield spacers on an '06 for?

2. If you are 6'1" , and want the screen down, bugs will still hit your helmet-spacers or not.

I did know if the spacer changed the angle enough to send them anywhere but in my face.

It "might" send them upward to your faceshield, but more likely spacers would allow them to bounce off the nosepiece and hit you in the chest. Welll, that and cleaning the bug splatter off the INSIDE of your windshield.
