It is possible that BK will introduce some Timmie's products into their line, or more likely BK will simply open more Timmie's stores in the USA to compete with Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks.
That's what I can see happening but not so much new stores. As BK already has the real estate I can see them following the Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins and Taco Bell/KFC model.

Old Bill has been sniffing around today. Maybe the admin cat has got his tongue. Lessee if I can bait him out of the lurk mode, when Nord meets Sud:

Doesn't it bother you that the Canadian Franchise is now owned and operated by foreigners who wouldn't know a hockey stick if it slashed them in the Timbits, eh?

8 of 10 cups of coffee from Timmy's?? Wow!

From NPR this morning:

Never heard of Tim Hortons, the Canadian coffee-and-doughnut chain that U.S. fast-food chain Burger King recently announced it was buying? In Canada, that's like asking an American, "What's Starbucks?"

The brand affectionately called Timmy's is everywhere in Canada. Tim Hortons has more than 3,000 stores across Canada as well as about 600 in the U.S.

By one estimate, sales at Tim Hortons restaurants make up more than 25 percent of all food service transactions in Canada. Eight in 10 cups of coffee in the country are bought from Tim Hortons, according to the chain. Not only that, the company was founded by a hockey player.

"It really is an iconic brand in Canada," says Eric Atkins, a business writer at Canada's Globe and Mail newspaper. "They're in every small town. They're all over the larger cities. They're loved for their coffee, which is consistent, and their doughnuts. Canadians love their doughnuts."

The hockey player who founded the chain in 1964 was the late Tim Horton, a legend who played for the Toronto Maple Leafs as well as the New York Rangers, Buffalo Sabres and Pittsburgh Penguins.

"People grab a Timmy's en route to their kids' hockey game," says Sandra Dudych of Winnipeg. She says players on her city's NHL team, the Jets, can often be found hanging out before practice at the Tim Hortons kiosk in their arena. "If you look at the food industry, a lot of the food industry wasn't homegrown in Canada. Tim Hortons was."

Tim Hortons has been owned by a U.S. company before — the fast-food chain Wendy's. Then the two split up. Burger King says this merger will bring more Tim Hortons into the U.S. Analysts say the two together might better compete in markets overseas. Putting the headquarters in Canada could also mean getting the benefit of lower corporate taxes.

At a Timmy's in New Brunswick, customer Ian MacHattie worries the merger will somehow change the coffeehouse Canadians love.

"Part of the success is the ownership was Canadian. Like their psyche, their thinking was similar to ours. Now that ownership is changing, you don't know how that future will be," MacHattie says.

Burger King says the companies will be run separately. There won't be Whoppers alongside the doughnuts. That's a relief to MacHattie, though he says he might consider the combination if that Whopper is served with a Double Double — that's Tim Hortons signature drink. It's a regular coffee with two creams and two sugars.

Youse 'Maricans just don't recognize the invasion strategy do ya (which was all part of the strategy of course)...... Majority owner Ron Joyce tried a merger with Wendy's to save their butt and put the stores side by side, then bailed on that, and sold his majority share to make mucho 'Marican dollars, then stayed in to move Timmy's along and expand, and now letting BK pay a premium to buy in....... Timmy's coffee will not necessarily be sold at BK, as that never happened at Wendy's..... but as the Timmy's expand further past the MasonDixon line, we'll eventually control the White House...... ya I know some of you would like us to burn it down again like we did in 1812, but I can tell ya we're not likely going there........... Billy Fitz is likely one of the COO's, as he has a standing reservation in the corner by the window at EVERY Timmy's...........

A franchise in AZ would be very seasonal..... May to October, the coffee keeps hot enough all by itself....... and you'll find us north of the MasonDixon so we don't cook to death in the summer.

McD's sales have been down 30% this year....... new CEO in place to attempt a recovery.... how the mighty have fallen........

Coincidental? hmmm?

I do agree w Fred that some TH's have had some mighty fine brew, while other franchises seem to fall short. Always could be that our taste buds are off on those days I suppose (for those who wish to 'stick' up for TH's). I really like their baked goods, but for a coffee chain... ya can't beat a firm, voluptuous and delicious!... Double-D Koffee

Sugar in coffee is sacrilegious. I mean, understandable that you might need to cover up Maxwell House or Folgers, but a good Kona, Colombian, Costa Rican or Hortons?

This right here is why TominCA is the smartest guy on our FJR Forum, next to odot, Bust and RadioHowie of course! Papa Chuy NEVER puts sugar in his coffee!

BeemerDonS only adds one or two fingers worth of Bushmill's Black Bush to his morning Sumatra, well perhaps maybe three or four fingers of Black Bush! Begorah!

We of the FJR Forum thank you Alan from the bottom of our hearts for saving Billy Fitz, it would have been so tragic if yamafitter had expired from starvation! JSNS!

Here is yamafitter - Bill Fitkowski on top of Passo di Manghen, Italia:

Today was a long day and I'm tired so I'm going to post up the rest later but I had to ask this question....

Does this road make my butt look phat.

So when are we going back to ride those awesome roads in the Dolomites?
https://www.rental-motorcycle.com/europe/spain/madrid_rental.html Billy Fitz, would you consider riding Spain, France and Andorra instead? These three countries would be my next European destination, if it works out we could even ride to Gibraltar and Portugal. I want to recreate the route that the Italian FJR Forum led myself and Dr. Bob on a number of years ago. Stefano Sarao - teerex51 took us on an outrageous ride through the Pyrenees and the Basque Country of Pamplona. So what do you say yamafitter "El Jefe Maximo", ride Espana with me eh Hoser! jes' sayin' and nuff said, ese! https://www.ride.co.uk/Routes/Spain/

I actually prefer Spanish women to German girls, that's why I want to return to Spain! Here is Stef's incredible YouTube video of the ride routing we did through the Pyrenees:

Next year is out I think. Calendar is already pretty full for 2015 with the trip to Mexico and the Black Hills ride that Ray wants to extend into a Western tour.

Actually Billy Fitz, Spring of 2016 sounds great to me! Calendar is already pretty full for 2015 with the trip to Mexico and the Black Hills: Same here Amigo, plus Steve "jorstin" Kerns are riding in Alaska in August of 2015. Be careful around our RaYzerman19, if he asks you to pull his finger: Definitely don't do it, Hombre! jes' sayin' and nuff said, eh!
