I'm headed down to my Big Sur getaway today thru Monday. If anybody finds themselves on Palo Colorado Rd look for a blue FJR about 2 miles up from 1 and stop in for a beer or 12. Otherwise I may see ya's on the road. :)

We were down at the other end today. Rode from Santa Maria up to Gorda and back (lunch at Ragged Point). Wild temperature swings: low 55, high 90. Saw lots of BMWs, a few Hondas, a GSX or two, and an older Concours, but no other FJRs. I guess the other FJR riders in this area went elsewhere.

I passed a 2-up blue heading south today on "the One" between Palo Colorado and Big Sur somewhere? I waved and maybe  you waved back? I was solo on a blue around 1:30 PM. Traffic near Carmel sucked due to a marathon run on "the One".

Would love to have ridden down that way and met you for "a beer or 12" but had gone farther north for a bay area ride.

The day BEFORE that Carmel marathon thing is a great time to ride through there. They have port-a-potties at every turnout,

which is good if you're middle-aged with a hamster's bladder. Perhaps we'll have the opportunity to take a ride this season sometime.

I hope it went well. Beautiful area.

That was probably these two hooligans who stole my bike and took it for a joy ride and left us with their two brats. ;) That's right, my ever lovin' bro and sis in law:
