Didn't do Valley of the Gods, but my 2005 FJR w/ ABS descended Moki Dugway easily last June. MEM was behind me on her AZ based FZ6 and Bob brought up the rear on a pretty much stock 2003 Honda Blackbird (all w/ packed luggage). Take a few minutes detour to see Goosenecks State Park while you're so close.
And I said at the time that I'd have been more comfortable on my FJR
Even better is when you and I are at the last switchback to the pavement and look up to see Bob above us on the Blackbird, with what are pretty much clip-on bars, and he's one handing the Canon ELPH with his left hand, taking pics! Clearly, we have the boy up to speed by that point in the tour! ;-) 'T,was the next day I figured I'd show him how to chuck an ELPH down an Arizona highway.
Hmmm, now that I think of it, that was an epic day. Four Corners, Natural Bridges, Moki Dugway, Goosenecks, cervezas at a great motel on the San Juan River in Mexican Hat, the guest book and dinner, you and the goats, Bob and the texts from Clifford , . . . and . . . the battle between you and Bob for the twin bed!!! Priceless!*
* and at that, I'm leaving out one of the funniest pictures I've ever taken - of Bob teaching you an Air ___ ___ in the Natural Bridges parking lot.
