This is how we can get

around the buck only rule...

I have a question:

If I shoot a buck, but I only have a doe tag, can I claim that the buck wasn't really a buck?

I mean maybe he'd always wanted to be a doe, but with no choice of his own he was born with the physical attributes of a male. And yet on the inside he'd always known he was truly a female.

I'm just wondering if the game warden will buy it, because society and the Supreme Court seem to.

Gender dysphoria exists in the cervidae family...I only thought humans were that mentally effed up.

I think it would depend on the circumstances. If his ex-wife doe was one of those plastic ones, much like the Kardashian women, I say okay.

In my state, the doe tags were actually tags for antlerless deer. Really whether there are antlers or not is all you can really ascertain in normal "in situ" inspection from the stand.

Button bucks were OK. So were doe fawns, and real does. If the tag was for antlered deer, then the spikes had to be someting like 3 or 4 inches tall. I've never taken a spike ... in fact, I guess all I've ever taken is the odd button buck, does, and 8 points or better.

The same issues are in play for Turkeys. The tags here were for bearded or beardless. I've been told that on the order of 5% or so of female turkeys will grow a beard. One time over in Hickman County I took a Tom with four beards. Those are scored like atypical deer are scored. I've heard of people taking turkeys with as many as 9 or 10 beards.

Do you ever wonder what goes on in John's mind when he's riding for long hours? I always imagined he just passed the time staring at Festar's 6 O'clock, but now I'm not so sure.

She shed his antlers and then he was a she,

She said, hey babe, take a walk on the wild side,
Said, hey honey, take a walk on the wild side.

Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo

BANG!

Don't know, never given one, I guess I'll have to defer to your greater experience in this area, which is it?

Since I have not been on the "giving" side of one either, I have no frame of reference. And while I realize it was entirely unsportsmanlike to shoot a sitting duck, it was just too easy. Since the subject matter seemed to dwell on the question of male or female, the power of suggestion was too strong.

Sorry if you did not see the humor in my little joke. Since the opening joke was not up to your usual standards and bordered on stirring the wrath of Management, I thought it could use a bit of help.
