We noticed huron52 spoke pretty good lingo for a furriner at the CFO.
I'm considering coming. If he is not around, will you provide translators?

OK-- if I can't get anyone to rise to the bait, I'll stop fishing. <_<

Seriously, I'd like to see some of Canada someday and I'll be watching this thread in the hopes of making this meet.

riding too close to Pickering
Only 1 hour away from the radiation. I ride by it from time to time.

I did fall down a lot when I was a youngling.

Canadian Club Classic is ze best.
I would worry about that place ... It is run by the Ontario Government. <_<

But then if you knew how much it between you and that bad stuff you might not worry. That is as long as all the layers of protection work.
I don't know about there being a lot of layers - I did a tour of Bruce Nuclear as part of a military Nuclear Response On-Scene Controller course many moons ago and it just didn't seem like there was enough for my liking. And with Bruce not being that far away, I always wondered why Wiarton never seemed to have trouble finding an albino groundhog for Groundhog Day...

I knew it! My sister lives in Oshawa and she doesn't like hockey or beer either, something I attribute to the radiation from Darlington, and the fact that when she was a baby I used to use her as a goalpost in our road hockey games until she learned how to walk.

Geez, I really hope I can make this rally :yahoo:

Ok back to the real world for a bit. I'm doing fine with the language, no translator needed on this end, yet. I tend toward the rational when selecting my overindulgences. I work hard to avoid emberassing myself, emberassing other folks is sort of a hobby. I do drink, smoke, chase women (one day I'll catch another one) and practice other behavorial disorders as the mood strikes.

So far I have the dates, sep 7, 8, 9 penciled in. The tenetive destination is is the "Ontario Area", which I found a map, small town towrds the east coast right? :glare: There were two towns mentioned as meeting points. Which one is the final or is that still in the hopper, or maby the Eight ball hasen't settled yet.

If I can work this out it will be a hoot. You folks sound like my sort of lads. I do appreciate the support and encouragment as well as the banter.

Hey all:

Just a heads up to let everyone know that I have worked out the details for the rally and I will be posting them in the next day or two. :yahoo: Just a couple more things to work out and I'll post the info.

ADMIN NOTE: Since Colin has announced a CFR is happening--we've created a thread devoted to that. And since Colin has provided a link with details about the event and a link discussing the event you all can go to the new threads for discussion. So thread closed.

I would also like to say personally, kudos to the organizers and congratulations to those that attend the event. With a Canadian FJR Rally you've added an important piece to the regional meet concept that enables FJR owners to build life-long friendships and bonds.

GREAT JOB MY CANADIAN FRIENDS!

:clapping:
