Say Friends,

I brought my '07 FJR along with the Capital City Motorcycle Club for a 3 day trip to Death Valley (April 4th/5th & 6th).

Susan took

video and this is the complete slideshow.
I hope to catch the Easter Sunday ride.

Nice Vid & Slideshow! You get lotsa shots w/ a back seat shooter, and she's obviously pretty accomplished at her "on the roll" technique, ...liked her "panorama" in the vid! Interesting variety of folks/machines, ...also quite a divergence in ideas about what constitutes adequate luggage for a 3-day junket, everything from "zip" to the "sink". Some looked like they were headed for a four-corners tour & others just down to the corner store! ...variety is the spice, eh!

...by the way, where'd you find that wild windbreaker, the loud knob is turned up way hi on that'n, like it!?

Great photos and video. :clapping:

And all this time I thought you brought Susan along because you liked her. Now I see that you wanted your own photojournalist.

I assume you rode over 88 and South on 395 (the video?). This is the 2nd or 3rd pictorial report I've seen this year and they are all whetting my appetite for next Spring.

Looks like a great trip, Dave. I like the variety of bikes. Looks like a Harley bagger and a Victory? There's nothing like a road trip! I ache for one myself. Was gonna ride to L.A. for Memorial Day, but it fell through. Maybe go to Yosemite with a buddy soon.

Thanks.

thanks for tha thoughtful reply.

i have mostly good, but mixed feelings about that crazy loud windbreaker. One can see it for seemingly miles away - but it's only a lined windbreaker so it doesn't breath and has no hard plastic protection.

how funny! she got a kick out of that line - yes... that was 395

I suppose it's really starting to warm up in DV? Is this a ride you take with that group every spring?
last year it was in the low 30's coming over the hill and 90 on the desert floor.

this year (going a different route) it was 28 as we pulled into Bishop and almost 80 on the desert floor.

i'd say not EVERY year - but often.

Thanks.
Yes... it's true - a coupla Harley's and the Victory. That victory gets all kinds of looks anywhere Rex (is his name) takes it.

thank you for your comments - all - nice group of people here.
