Is there a throttle body sync gauge set that I can use for an old Honda twin w/ carbs as well as my 4 cyl fuel injected FJR?
THX ALL!
THX ALL!
It's either atf or marvel mystery oil, I don't remember. If you look closely just under my left hand guard, you'll see that I step down from the bigger clear tubing to the next smaller size. I found some rigid plastic tube that fits snug inside the smaller hose, so I can clamp down on that assembly with a double wrap of .020 safety wire without crushing and pinching off the line. Closer to the engine, I step down again to a silicon hose that fits snug over the bleed ports, using the same technique as before to join the different size lines. All of that together may constitute a restrictive orifice. All I can tell you is that it works well and I've never sucked the oil into my engine. I vacuum tested the assembly after I built it and it held a vacuum for a long long time, so I'm confident with my connections.Used ATF as the working fluid? Are those wire ties at the top pinching the tubes to create a restriction orifice?
Long long time ago I tried similar using motor oil. Didn't work, the vacuum sucked the oil apart and into my twin cylinder engine. Before I knew of the need for restrictive orifices. So about $25 later I bought one using mercury from JC Whitney. Thats when I learned about restrictors.
