After some recommendations from other members I've fitted a laminar lip and a set of Garaulds excellent hiway pegs so the trip will be a good test for these, plus the other seating 'arrangements' should be here before then.
I could bring my MotionPro syncher if anyone thinks there might be a call for multiple operations.

Just let me know.

Steve
You bringing the Motion pro? Is that the one with the four parallel tubes? And i assume you're heading up I-4??

Gary

Yessir, on all counts. I mean it has four tubes and I will certainly bring if it will be useful.

Seems like from my location would be better to head along I-4 then 417 and 528 to I-95. Got my Sunpass ready and waiting!!

Steve

I've got shrink wrap, a heat gun, a soldering gun, solder, flux... if you need anything, let me know.I've also got an old carb tune, the older unit with the 4 glass tubes... I used it to synch my throttle bodies 2 years ago. Anybody need me to bring any of this stuff?

1-75 ??? no, I did not mean I-95. Granted, I'll end up at 1-95 sooner or later, but I gotta get past I-75 first. I was answering questions for those who live around here. I live about 15 miles west of I-75.

I'd like to run the route below. As you can see, it's easier for me than heading down to Tampa and picking up 1-4.

Gary,

As soon as you exit the 408, back onto 50, there's a BP on the right. If you're interested, I can meet you there to ride the rest of the way. Just give me a time window and I'll be waiting.

Vic?Funny? Ha ha....

I thought you would make the "Crisp" 6 am ride

North with me, but NO you have found away out of it. LOL
Tony!! Please don't blame me! I have absolutely nothing to do with it. It's my FJR. Really!!! I've tried many, many times to suit up in the wee hours of the early morning. My bike just looks at me and says: Uhhhhh..... Dude, are you out of your mind?! Get the **** away from me!!!!
Then it doesn't start! I swear!! It's creepy! This bike is the Devil! I don't want to piss this thing off. That's when I just go back to bed. :)

Gary/Dave - Are you guys still planning to meet at 10:30 at the BP?

This bright sunny day is really tempting me to push off my other chores for a while and hook up with the gang for a quick visit.

Dave is here, come on over!

Jim,

Thank you for all of your hospitality. A great timme was had by all! Today gave me the info and the drive to get some of my projects started. Just placed an order for a PC-8fuze block and another Gerbings harness. Tony, thanks for the heads up about the underseat bracket. ihave PM'd Art about one of the brackets.

I think we helped out a few needy souls today.I had a blast! Really good to put faces with names. Lets try to do something next month. A new thread should be started for it though.

Hope all got home safe and sound. A very uneventful ride for me(30 minutes), whoopi.

Can't wait to hear all the comments about today!

Indeed, Jim and his wife (Patty?) did a fabulous job as hosts! Everyone was made to feel welcome, and that chili was perfect for getting warm!

it was a real pleasure to meet new people and see some that I met before. I really learned some things from this (spline lube, tire change, and not to add Powerlets

). Seriously, thank you to everyone there for making this meet-up such a success. I look forward to the next time to get together.

P.S. I took photos, but can't seem to post them now (can't c&p like I used to do). Probably just me.

Hey Guys,

I rolled into the house here in Spring Hill at about 7:40 pm. It was right at 40 degrees when I finally got home. Glad I slipped the rain suit over top of my coat and pants. It made a huge difference. I didn't get nearly as cold, but needless to say, I got cold enough. It was a great day, and I really enjoyed gabbing with everybody. Where do I start? The heaters sure helped, and working on a lift was something I never did before. Didn't know what I was missing. Then changing and balancing a tire was a great experience. The hot dogs were amazing, the chili was yum, EVEN the coffee was UUU Lah Lah. I even enjoyed an occasional brownie from the plate that was sitting up on the bench. Shame that nobody seemed to be eating them, they were wonderful.

Enjoyed gabbing with Walter for a while, finally got to meet RZ350 and Pale Rider 07 and some other fellers as well.

Thanks to Jim and Vic for helping me with my spline lube (it was mucho dry after 32k miles). I enjoyed working with one of our newest members, RoyC in removing and replacing my front wheel. Extra hands made the job a little easier, and hopefully Roy enjoyed learning something new as well. Thanks again Jim for shoeing on my new PR2. Amazing how quickly you did that. Also, thanks for teaching me how to balance a tire. Glad I checked the balance on the CT, it's been on for 3 years and 32k miles... needed attention as it was about 1/2 ounce out of balance. All told I put between 5 and 6 hours on the road. It was good to get out for a little bit of a longer ride, though it sure was cold.

We had a great turn out, ehh?

I had a blast! I had no idea how easy a spline lube and tire change was to do. Thanks, Jim (FLFJRS). I owe you one and Jim (fljab), thanks for garage time and the killer chili your wifey made. I'll be back! :)
