Yeah, took home the Gold...didn't fall down, and bling to boot. Best part though, was putting faces on names, as it always is at these get togethers.

And as far as pics, we'll have to wait for CBX and fastfckr to post 'em. But there are plenty of pics, both of the get off, and the meet in general. If not for the damn heat, it could have gone on forever as far as I'm concerned.

Awesome time! good choice on the letter roads saturday Opt8low and Stryg8r really had a great time riding the letters. Because Hoistman and I "had" to ride a few more twistys it took me 10 hours to make it back to Indianapolis. I now have a permanent imprint of the stock fjr seat in my butt and a smile on my face. Great time ready to do it again next year.

Nate

Hey you're not the only one... it took me 10 hours to get home also....

Fjr2fly,

I would ride with you guys (Hoistman) and Derek anytime. Besides anyone that can nap at lunch and still ride the letter roads is a rider in my book. I had a shorter ride home, but the wind was blowing 30 MPH out of the south and I was going west. At least I used the left side of my tire up some.

Next year we will explore more letter roads,

Dana

I second all of the above comments...

it was a fun time, enjoyed the riding - in spite of the heat. Met alot of nice people(as always at these FJR meets) -and some new friends from up north -eh.

I have some pictures, and when I learn to post them I will.

Bother Trinibob for some video - he took some. Tell him to stay away from the photoshop. If you see some of us riding nekkid - it didn't happen.

Hope everybody got home safely...

Posted about the crunch in ny nekkid thread. But heres the story. tomnap went down on Wisc Co Rd P, Amish country. Coming out of a fast lefthander, up a rise, then a 25mph right hander that flattens at the top, then drops down and right hard. I almost got it, the damn road just disappears from under you, spooky as hell. I gathered it up, not even enough brake to fire up the abs. Tom wasn't so lucky. 2 distinct stripes straight off the curve (non abs bike), then grind marks straight into the ditch at the base of a hill (wide corner with another road branching off). A lady in her yard at the time said he went down with the bike then launched off and into the ditch, sat up, and passed out. He had full gear on, and it saved his ***. Cracked and ground the helmet, he got a sprained left hand and a couple little scrapes, sore but not beaten. In the hospital for a couple hours, then got to play passenger back to the hotel. The bike came out pretty good considering, you don't really need mirrors and PIAA's anyway. Tweaked the front fairing mount, right bag has had better days, but the bike was rideable, fired right up, and made it to the hotel a bit later. 3 things really made an impression on me-good gear works, sliders work, and don't have an empty bag on one side, and 40lbs of stuff in the other. ;) Many pics were taken by fastfkr and CBX6, and will probably show up sooner or later here. most importantly, Tom made it ok, and though sore, rode it home yesterday (to the best of my knowledge, I left early am to beat the heat, and that was the plan).

My post from the General Forum...

But stay upright, please; I don't want to be reading about anyone bounce-checking their FJR down the road....

Well, twas not to be-tomnap went down Sat afternoon, right after I almost blew the same turn, rising gentle 25mph right hander that flattens at the top then does a sharp drop to the right. He had full gear on (gear works boys), got a airconditioned ride to the ER in Viroqua, then got a ***** ride back to the hotel. Banged but not broken, pics to follow in CFO reports to come. His bike was rideable (sliders work boys), and faster now without all that safety crap like mirrors and PIAA's.  Hotter than Satans bunghole, but overall, a great time was had by all.

Yep , the group get together was a great time, I found out friday evening, that my Givi V-46 makes one hell of a great place to have a full 30 cans of iced down /cold beer and Wisc. cheese curds!!!!!

I was in the back of the pack of guys who were with TOMNAP when he had his boo-boo, I'm so glad that he came out with just a scratched bike and bruised body....... wear that gear boys!!!!!

On to nicer storys, our dinner was very yummy and we had a lot of free door prizes, I won a pair of helmet headphones, not in hand, but its going to be mailed to me.....

The weather was the end of a near record heat streak for us midwesterners, 9 days in a row , above 90* Sunday I saw 100* on a few banks!!!!

I took some good pics of the group and my Givi beer truck, I sent the pics to Brian, I'll let him try to post the pics!

Ride on, ride safe...
