OUTSTANDING rally, and I'll add my thanks to the organizing crew.

Great to meet some folks from the forum, and some unbelievable rides.

We made it back to Calgary yesterday afternoon, can't wait for the next ride.

It was a pleasure to have you along mate, and hope we get the chance to ride again soon.

In-my-not-so-humble-opinion.....there aren't enough superlatives to express how I feel!

Thanks Dave, Jeff & crew!

John, Don & "Granny" Katherine

What a great time enjoying old friends and meeting new ones (even Barb and MEM). The Canadian hospitality was a pleasure to experience. I had such a good time I'm still enjoying my trip home. Lots of pictures, etc., after I return.

exskibum and I had "massive rain" in Glacier N.P. today and it continued until we got to Browning MT. Then we only had gusting winds to make our ride to Helena "interesting". Hopefully, and it is predicted so, we'll have nice weather tomorrow for Beartooth and Chief Joseph. Maybe for Yellowstone/Grand Teton Wednesday.

P.S. To "Old Michael": Loser, neener-neener-neener, too bad, pppthhttttttttt :blum:

Yuh shudda bin ther, bro!

You can't beat Canadian hospitality, scenery, and friendliness. Best rally ever!

I'm still in Banff, rain should stop tomorrow.... Then Jasper, then home.

Thanks to everyone responsible for a great CFR.

...and were there any parking lot incidents of note?
Yes, there was one major problem in the parking lot:

An empty space where your bike was supposed to be!

Need I mention the empty seat at the dinner? The space on the local roads where you were to riding, sharing adventure and enjoying the scenery with us? The memories and friends you don't have?

D'ya want more?

Seriously, the only "incidents" in the parking lot or the rides were two flat tires that were plugged (one by the "Master Plugger").

If I type my thoughts in this space readers will think that they have hit the"back" button. CFR2009 was a wonderful rally filled with friends old and new. Dave and his "crew" not only handled the organization and logistics with competence and grace, they also set a tone for the rally that allowed everyone to feel right at home.

A well deserved "Thank you" to all - organizers and participants both!

DITTO everything already covered! It was such a pleasure to put faces to some of these crazy Forum handles :) And to spend time with new friend, Barb, and old friends: Kevin & Ann Marie (I had to ride 8 000 km to see them?!), Tom & Pam, Chris & Diana, and Mike. Plus OTHER new friends; you know who you are

Again, my sincere thanks to EscapeArtist for plugging my tire. 1300 km later, it's still holding. Went out to check pressure this morning and ..... there's another one, lodged through the sidewall. Plucked out and no leak . Tomorrow will tell the tale.

Until next year or next rally - although I'll be hard-pressed to be rallying again this year ;)

Cheers!

ME

ps - sorry, forgot about the pic of Barb's butt

and did the ladies do the spa thingy ???
didn't happen without pics...lotsa pics...lotsa closeups...
Yes, and I think there was also supposed to be pictures of MEM smacking Barb's ass if I remember...

But jus' pics of Barb's ass would be OK too I think.

I'm sure no one would object. ;)

:drinks:
Some ladies did the spa thingy, but the only pictorial evidence is of the MEMster I think.

Don't think anyone caught a shot of how Bearly Flying was introducing me in the parking lot

Amazing how Everybody knew instantly Who You were tho :innocent:

true that...*L*

Guess it's better to be know for your ass than for being one
Er...uhm....it was a priviledge to watch your "6". :blushing:

But then, I did come to Canada to see natural wonders....

Thanks to Dave and Jeff and Rocketdoc and the rest of the team for doing such a great job with organizing the rally. This was my first rally so I didn't have any benchmarks to compare to but judging from the comments from the veterans, it was one of the best rallys ever. Gill and I stayed over on Sunday and after everyone peeled out, the good vibes, buzz and camaraderie disappeared and we felt kind of depressed for a few hours until we got back with our program for the day. We had an absolutely superb time.

Got back to Vancouver last night after a 10 hour ride. About 1/2 of it was in the rain. I've been having some problems with the instrument panel and it didn't light up yesterday when I started the bike so I ended up doing the whole ride with no instruments. Ah well, who needs digital input anyway......

Glad you made it home w/o incident! You're definitely a candidate for a Car Tire! See the Dark Side thread HERE. Too bad you didn't hit me or BugR up for a ride while we were all in Nakusp.
