Well, someone had to start it. What's the plan for 2009. Rumor has it that it is taking place in a Province far, far away from Nova Scotia. Let's start by throwing out some dates.................... like the last weekdend of August.

Canadian FJR

Why don't we have it in B.C. and civic holiday weekend or the one just before.

Thanks for starting this thread.....

Let's get rolling here!

Hey...are there even enough Canadiens to have a rally? Cmon, you guys have had two rallys...you've tried...

I'm sorry...lost my mind there for a bit...where's this rally gonna be?

;)

I think early August is great. I can't make the end of August...or if Wheaton is coming.

FastJoyRide is on the case! As soon as I can get over there, I hope to lock up a location in the southern Kootenay Valley.

In order to provide maximum spacing from other regional rides (esp WFO) and the IBR, I am hoping to get a good weekend date in mid to late June.

He's just kidding Wheaton, Gypsy's not going to miss riding roads this good - even if you are coming!

Post up - what do you think of this tentative plan?

Is it about time this Central Kali Kid learns metric?
Gittrdun Don!

And sadly you won't be able to use Sylvia's line to the Las Vegas cop when she was pulled over doing 90 in a 50 zone "Gee back home the speed limit is 90 or 100 (kms) and I just can't get used to the smaller numbers in this rental car" (bat, bat went those innocent eyes). Smokey didn't buy it for a second but gave her a free pass anyway - ain't never going to happen for you or me though bud!

I'm hopin' to make it...kids in college an all might slow me down...but I'll try and see if I can get the wife on the bike for the trip...maybe a "fly and ride" deal...

I'm with Wheatie on that note. 2 Kids in college, wifie's soft butt, I gotta work again.(don't buy a Camaro maybe they'll lay me off again.) I'll do my best to show up and drag a few Upper Canadains along.

Clearly you guys should start raising dumber kids!! :)

June is even better. I'm in!

Who said I tried to raise 'em smart? I threw roadblocks in their way all while they were growin' up...but they saw through my shallow attempt to not pay for college in order to attend FJR Rallys. ;)

Seriously though, I'm hopin' to convince the wife to take a two week trip out northwest next year "as part of our 25th wedding anniversary celebration" in the Canadian Rockies. If I can convince her...I'm in. :yahoo:

Uhm...ahem...hmmmm....I might just pencil early-mid-June on my calendar. Maybe its time to stretch my horizons and visit some of our "Extreme North American" brethren and sisteren.

Lessee....

Get a passport.

Don't take the pistol.

Hide the radar detector.

Get the maps and plan a fun route.

Hey, this is waaaay do-able! :yahoo:

Chris, I take it back and eat my words. Just looked up Kootenay Valley on Yahoo. Had no idea it was halfway up to Juneau! Now if I could only get my wife to take those tranquilizers so she'd say " No problem, honey. Go riding for the month".

I'm chewing on it............... June, yes?....................

ya gotta learn the names of the various provinces and when they were admitted to the Dominion

ya gotta know where the local Tim Horton's is

ya gotta know that 100 is pretty slow...but will still get you a ticket in the wrong spot
