Papa Chuy, I'm sticking to an XL.... but at least we both know why I call you El Grande Amigo!!

I'm the first one of the 8 reservations and am all signed up.

Is it June yet?
Brother Ray, oldest son SkooterG must be right; I'm getting Alzheimer's! I did remember you as being much "larger" when you were making out with Bust at CFR QC!

Scottie, thank you again so very much for referring Seth and I to Bikers Bed and Breakfast. I just got off the phone with Owner Mike Weatherby and we Stanley Boys are all set. Mike is going to pick us up at Halifax International and return us to YHZ. We touch down on Flight 3608 at 12:40 PM on Sunday, June 19 and fly out at 11:55 AM on Sunday, June 26 Flight 121.

We decided to rent Mike's 2006 Yamaha FJR AE for a full five days, returning it on Friday, June 24. Staying at the B & B on nights of 6/18 and 6/24. Any thoughts from you Locals on a good day's ride destination for Thursday 6/23 and a nice place to stay at? Bearing in mind we need to be back at the Truro, NS location on Friday evening around 1800 hours, approximate.

I know Halifax, Nova Scotia has a rich history. Is there a reasonable $$$ downtown hotel or motel that you would recommend? We will use public transport around town Saturday and out to the airport on Sunday.

https://www.mtcw.ca/harbourhopper/ Seth and I definitely want to ride the Harbour Hopper, looks like fun!

https://museum.gov.ns.ca/mmanew/en/home/default.aspx Also want to tour The Maritime Museum of the Atlantic.

I would recommend leaving Fredericton at a good time Thursday morning and work your way to Nova Scotia and then run up the Sunrise Trail from Amherst to Pictou. From there you can make your way to Ingonish located in the northern section of the Cabot Trail (450 miles). The Keltic Lodge is kinda nice. Friday morning, finish the trail and make your way back to Truro (230 miles).

No sense in traveling this far east and not seeing the Cabot Trail. You might even have time for a whale watching tour.

For Saturday, there are many places to stay in Halifax. I like the Cambridge Suites. Very central and reasonable prices.

Excellent suggestion Canadian FJR, but Papa Chuy needs to know that is a healthy 7 hrs. of riding without stopping... and he will want to stop here and there.... and hopefully the weather is good. It will be a long day but worth it if nice weather.

Damn, I gotta fix it so guys like you can't do that! :p No worries Pierre, I'll fix it up!

Maybe not, but I'll bet you refreshed the payments page (and depending on your browser and settings, may have clicked 'OK' to resubmit the data) which is equivalent to going back and hitting the submit button again.

I'll fix it up.

There is no link for Paypal Personal Payment (PayPal doesn't allow automating this but I suppose I could just link to Paypal's login screen. Same goes for Interac e-Transfer. Payment by cheque is also just instructions. The link to PayPal for secure Credit Card payment should be functional.

https://www.walkandseacharlottetown.com/ Seth (Beetle) and I are going to do a double trifecta: Stay in 3 provincial capitols we have never been to before.

Three CFR nights in Fredericton, NB; Thursday night in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island and Saturday night at the Cambridge Suites in Halifax, NS.

Good call, you might even find some good seafood along the way. :p

I assume that you are taking the bridge from New Brunswick to PEI and then the ferry back to Nova Scotia. If so, I can suggest a nice route from Pictou (where the ferry docks) back to Truro. I am only 15 minutes from the ferry.

Sounds great, Canadian FJR! Any suggestions for lodging on PEI?

I notice we have Peppermint Patty from Lachine registered. I don't think I've had the pleasure of meeting her, is she on the forum?

PP is Ray's friend / CFR invitee. She's not an FJR rider (yet....) nor is she on the Forum

We may be able to convert her though :D

Patty and I are both members of ST-Owners, and she is hosting an ST event in Quebec in July (wanna come?), and I am helping out. I thought it would be good for her to experience CFR and the FJR crowd. She is riding a new Suzuki Gladius as a step into the sport touring style, and perhaps an FJR is in her future. We should all hope she brings her guitar.....

Ok I'm in. Registered. Still waiting for confirmation from hotel.

Cigars? from KOOBA? MEM you're the best!
