We left Pembroke Sunday morning and rode slab down to the bridge in Ogdensburg. The wind was pretty intense and I was worried about the 2 mile (approx. 127 km) long metal bridge back to the US. Fortunately the wind was light over the bridge. We made it to Lake Placid, NY for the night. Monday morning looked like bad weather, but 15 minutes outside of town the sun came out want we had a great day in the Adirondacks. Made it home by 5:00pm. Thanks for everyone who put this together, thanks to Mudder for switching my speedometer into km/hr, and thanks to everyone for the great stories and conversations.

Looks like this will be our image thread as well, maybe Billy can re-title to incl "w Images"

Mine pretty much follows Mike the Wine Guy's

"Dock of the Bay" in Alex-Bay lunch. I texted Debbie, she was sad as she loves this place, oh, and my advice from her? "You better not eat all greasy food on this trip!" ...duly noted honey.

Quaint, quiet and qewl place, especially if you're a water lover like me!

Taking Debbies advice, I ordered a very healthy grilled chix salad, VERY tasty and I might be getting to like the healthier side

I planned a pretty nice non-slab route up and through to Pembroke... only problem?, it was also the same roads Billy had in his daily routes, so we saw a lot of duplicate scenery...

Twisting our way around all the beautiful lakes...

Portage-du-Fort; one of three consecutive dams between Ontario and Quebec Provinces. Our hometown FJR rider Chris was leading the group now, I was 2nd and enjoying the follow, but being the usual leader, my instincts were to keep a close eye on where he was taking us dang Yanks

Our Friday lunch stop was in Calabogie (and yes, we were just in 'bogie the day before on my route-in, oh well).

Sit down... yet another healthy meal for KJ... well minus the steak on it I guess, but I gotta live a little bit, eh?

Knowing Chris and Dave still wanted some more serious riding, we parted ways after lunch, and on a fuel and go, the gas station also had a LCBO beer store, great opportunity to pickup some beers for our cottage visit to Mike's teenage period friends. I'm not one to show up empty handed, and, these were Mike's friends inviting him and his fellow biking buds, we needed to bring something besides our lard *****!

Mike's friend Sheila was very friendly and welcomed us with hugs all around. Dave was a pretty talkative guy himself, and opened up their lovely cottage to us hoodlums.

Their daily view wasn't too shabby either!

Our happy hour loca, I know.... sucked to be us!

Mike was nervous that I'd bring up some "un-cool" stories of him. Naaaaa, I don't really have any! lol.
(yes, we I left the face-plant superman dive story to our group) #respect #helpingOutFellowFJRrider #WindKnockedOutofMikey

Sheila was so entertaining!... what great hosts, they made us feel like we were family!

I did tell you Sheila was awesomely entertaining us right? Well, (hehe) here she wears a nacho on her chest, she's so cool and only laughs and let's the pictures be snapped...

And the nacho dip that she chose to wear for the day....

Our "Dock Party Shenanigans" crew. Wow, was that a fun (&funny), so very relaxing time, thanks Mike the Wine Guy for making that happen!

Saturday AM it rained up until 11am-ish. 'Fitter packed up and went home for other obligations, Chris had a large group with already too many bikes in it, so Me, Mike (wine guy) and Rick ventured off on our own for the Sheila suggested to ride the Openongo Rd. After, we ended (back) at a German House for lunch

When I returned home, I had put my Chevy Volt in the garage prior to leaving, but I stupidly left out my CTS only to find the neighbors (about .2 mi away!) aka "the local cat-house" finding their second home. It was a cool day with the sun finally appearing, but the black car I guess gave them a warm bed, and... they hardly winked an eye at me coming in on the bike. That's some very comfortable put-tee!

Great times as always with you guys, I'm on to the next with even higher expectations!

KJ missed out and went to Eganville instead of Wilno. My mistake but his bigger mistake. You can't eat the decor silly man. If your definition of class is copying Gordon Ramsey well then I'm just wasting my time with this conversation. Over and out!

Also when KJ stopped in Wilmo on Saturday it is a POLISH restaurant not some Square-headed greasy spoon. That POS K1600GT makes KJ think everything is German even after correcting him at least a dozen times. That plus the fact that KJ is a *******.
<Mirror needed for the ******* comment>

Damn Willie, I continually try to give you some class but you constantly throw it right out the door!

#1 We didn't go to Wilmo, nor a Polish restaurant. My statement was totally correct as a German restaurant. And, It was very nice inside, decor was beautiful and it was the complete opposite from a greasy spoon. We met the owners, very nice and shared some patronage stories, more so once I broke out the Gordon Ramsey bon-appitite verbiage and totally rec'd his approval.... He then quickly wanted to give me/us a kitchen inspection.

#2 And most important. Germans are 10,000X smarter than you Polish tards... and DonS' spirit made me say that! (although he hinted he wanted Irish in that smarter mix as well) lol.

So William, stop trying to degrade people to make yourself look good. ;)

P.S. IT'S NOT WORKING!.... But, I do laugh my *** off at you! :) fool!

So you didn't go to Wilno, well then that is your loss AGAIN!!!

Guys, its Wilno.
And I thought it was good eats. Chris knew the way and we appreciated that very much
punk.gif
It probably was. I just wanted to see if KJ would take the bait. It was too easy just like punching blind kids.
Yeah like I believe this
lol2.gif

...you didn't even know your correct Ontario wording/township?, or the fact of the matter... really anything!
nono.gif

Yikes Willie, we need to get you on meds bro. Maybe some Focus Factor
smile.png

Edit: I see Willie went up and corrected all his town spelling errors!... ha!, and you can't cover up your f/ups that easily, but I'm smiling ear to ear at yas
