Don't remember how I did it, but it must've been simple -- I changed my e-mail and address in their database and then registered without a glitch. Your attendance is mandatory, of course!

Excellent Big D ! Room booked and ready to roll ! Looking forward to seeing everyone even that Irish ******* Old Mick, maybe exskibum and I can run the wet roads again like last rally.... nothing like sliding the rear on wet wooden bridges !

Shhhhh Dave! Don't spoil all of our surprises for the first-timers!

Yep Sam - that bridge west of Lilouette was the worst one: longer, leading immediately into a sharp left-hander and like ice when wet. Glancing in my rear view as my tires hooked up again to see Mike go down sucked. Daves reference is to two much shorter bridges between Nakusp and Kaslo, one of which was mid-curve. None of the damned things were marked and each came with serious pucker factor. I know those are there this trip and just hope I dont find any new ones. I like Canuckistan and its inhabitants, but who in their right mind surfaces unmarked parts of roads with smooth wood?

About 12 years ago I found one of those wooden bridges. I lucky it was a dry day, yet even dry it was an unpleasant surprise. There was a yellow sign with a slippery road graphic. The sign might be helpful for locals but nobody else. Generally I ride to avoid obstacles on the road but not slow enough to avoid the whole damn road.

There is only one route with wooden bridge decks and we will make sure all riders are aware of where they are. Honestly folks the forest rats are a much larger hazard...

...and then, there's MEM
OK, chickadee!

I haven't gotten around to responding to the MEM vs Left-coasters crack yet.

Hey! I loves me some west coasters ! And I love Fred W, too ;)

But the east coast ....c'mon.... when are you and the Viking coming to NB like you threatened promised to do years ago?

when I can get the workaholic bastage to take more than an hour or 2 off! Hopefully his dad in Caraquet won't be dead yet!

or....I get pissed enough I just ride out on my own

Probably option 2 when I can talk my g/f Kim into retiring like her hubby (then we ditch him at home)

You know .... Caraquet makes a great base camp for a Gaspé ride.
Then you come to Freddy Beach for a couple of days of https://www.harvestjazzandblues.com.

And then we all take off to the Cabot Trail. Yeehaw!

But I (we) digress - Off Topic (just like the good ol' days!)

In any motel or community you wont be running blind. If you stop to google something in a mtn pass? Ya, likely not gonna work for you
