it was just a warning for all of us  :D :p
A warning from WSP....you guys should by lottery tickets!

I was just ahead of you at the border and was also going to Spokane. I had to detour for pics at the two Dam Tour dams near Spokane. Glad to hear about the warning!

I FINALLY got all my pictures uploaded so I can post them.

No, I won't bore you with the entire group.

I will share some experiences with you.

First, I now have a practiced ability to ride in the rain...for days...and miles.

2nd day, North of Caldwell ID on Hwy 55. We rode for 200 miles in this weather before it finally broke around McCall.
CFR-Kodak011.jpg

3rd day, it had rained from Lake Coeur d'Alene to the border. Here we are approaching Radium Hot Springs under ominous clouds.
CFR-Kodak043.jpg

Of course it rained while we were unloading and through dinner. There was quite a storm and power was knocked out in the town for about 2 hours.

More rain!

4th day (Tuesday, June 16th) we're entering Kootenay Nat'l Park on our way to Banff & Jasper.

It will be raining in Kootenay.

5th day, after Banff, riding through the Canadian Glacier Park on Hwy 1.

And...

The 6th day was a lovely day to ride along the river to Vernon and head East to Nakusp. Once at CFR we took a little ride on the 7th day (Friday 19th) to the town of Kaslo.

Rich (exskibum) and I rode to Kalispell where Judy had flown in to join us. We got up on Monday, June 22, to ride through Glacier Nat'l Park.

Rich and Judy suited up for rain.

We're riding in the rain...ridin' in the rain...what a glorious feeling...

This is where we decided it was more miserable than adventurous. We turned around and headed for the visitors center/restaurant for some hot cocoa and coffee.

Geez MM2! I thought I was the only one to ride through days of rain  It's character building - and makes you grateful for nice weather ;)

And finally....my last rain photos, heading home across Nevada I ran into 3 different rain squalls. None of them serious enough to "suit up", but rather , I rode through them and dried out on the other side.

Oh no, Mary Ellen, we'd been riding in rain for days when we got to Nakusp. Those who left a day or two behind us had nice weather their whole trip.

I wouldn't change the experience for the world. We had a great time and I was fortunate enough to have great riding companions to share the experience with. That probably made the difference...we just suited up and played motorcyclist. B)

We did find some interesting, fun, twisty, winding roads on our CFR excursion.

Friends!

Having the right riding companions on a journey like this: Priceless!

Meeting old friends and making new ones was wonderful.

While riding in downtown Revelstoke we saw another FJR. Going to investigate we recognized it as the Highlander's bike so we called them on the hotel phone and we all went to dinner.

We rode from Revelstoke around to Vernon then East toward Nakusp. Crossing on the ferry to Fauquier we saw the Rogdebs and Hycles at a restaurant so we pulled in (I believe Hycle has pictures of that meet). While there another group of FJRs pulled up> Sacramento Mike followed by R-L: Rogdebs red FJR, Hycles FJR, Sac Mike's FJR, the Gfrans, the one and only Barb, herself, Huron52s (Tom and Pam) and MEM.
