I Left home on June 13, returned on July first, and took LOTS of pictures. So I took the easy way out and just uploaded some of them into this online album; be sure to click on the link. Like many of you, I saw plenty of rain, but there were no tickets and no crashes, so at least it was a better experience than getting to NAFO was.

CFR was great and very well organized. Thanks to the bunch of heroes who took care of all that. Met some great folks, saw lots of old friends, and had some cool local rides. After the rally, I took a spur-of-the-moment side trip up to Hyder with Joe (MCML), Steve (Bluestreek), and the Highlanders (Dave amd Diane). We split up after Hyder as Dave had to get back to work and Joe and Steve hadn't had enough rain yet. I rode to Prince Rupert and ferried down to Port Arthur on Vancouver Island, rode to Victoria and took a second ferry to Port Angeles, WA. From there I hugged the coast all the way till I had to face the valley heat the last day. Ugh. Turned out the rain wasn't so bad after all. It was a great trip.

My Pics.

As you were standing on the spot where you took that photo (Glacier Village Restaurant |East Glacier Village, MT), do you remember seeing an '06 FJR with a ridiculously dressed rider? I rode by and gave you the big wave, but I couldn't stop to visit. I had been having problems with my gear leaking and my solution was buy a cheap poncho (cover the front zipper that was leaking) and a pair of bright blue rubber gloves (replace the gloves that were leaking).

As I was riding across the US Hwy 2 in Montana, I kept wish I had a photo of how ridiculous I looked, but as I passed you guys I was glad you didn't have the cameras out.

Good times. It was great meeting you guys.

Yes, I remember thinking, "We probably know that guy!"

I had just put the camera away....lucky you ! ;)

You did the right thing. Once you get "sealed in" it's best to not disturb your set-up. I might have been able to help with my roll of duct tape.

That day was some of the ugliest weather we'd faced all trip. While riding in the park my gerbing glove liners got soaked so I had to change gloves. Luckily it wasn't that cold, just wet as heck.

SacrementoMike that Prince Rupert - Port Arthur ferry ride must have been a killer... you'd have been better off to go to Port Hardy.

Nice pics of the secret spa reunion.

Wow! My faith in y'all has been restored.

Fantastic pictures everyone.

I'm still digesting SacramentoMike's contributions, but madmike, you sir, are to be commended.

Really, really excellent picture-taking my friend. I can understand what a challenge it must have been, trying to keep cameras (and riders) dry.

After much examination, and pondering, and reviewing,...

I've chosen my favorite from your pile.

Thinking I'll HAVE to make the next British Columbia CFR.

Are you guys dry yet?

Oh, fine. Port Hardy then. Passed through so many "Port this'es" and "Prince That's" I kind of lost track of where the heck I was. And if you send me fifty dollars, I'll send you the REST of the spa pictures.

Huh?! is THAT all they're worth !? ;)
Send 'em to me and I'll give you an estimate...
Good one  Clearly, I'm going to have to come up with some of my own :p

Well, baby, if EVERYONE sends me $50. . .
Seeeee, I was waiting for the Barb Bikini Bikewash Fundraiser that didn't happen. I'm thinkin' that might have raised more than $50. maybe as much as $50 each...don't you think? :unknw: I mean...she was the unofficial semi-official entertainment director.

Dave, sorry that I could not make this great rally. Just curious, how did the FJR Vintage Rider Breakfast do?? Did we add new members. Would like to get their names and handles for history.
Hello Dave - I haven't been home yet since the Rally - I'll post up when I get back this weekend the pics, names and handles of all who attended.

Cheers

Kasey

*adding that one to the lengthy list of excuses*

I come from a looooong line of excuse makers. For some it's genetic, for others it's a gift. For me, I've taken the gift and worked on it and honed into an art form!

I'm a guy....it's what we do.....like scratching.

You were expecting something approaching a reasonably acceptable thought process?

I used to be married and know from experience there is NO acceptable thought line. We men are conditioned to just nod and act confused. Dazed? Huh?

I just want to say to the Canadian group thanks for getting us up there and the great time! As it is truley beautifull up there.

Everyone I went up with had to go back Sunday so I played Bronson and headed up to Valemount via Salmon Arm then Kamloops.

I'll try and post up my next 2600 miles in a new post as I rode thru Mt Robson, Jasper, Banff, and Kootenay Parks on Monday to meet up with Niehart and Haulin Ashe to chase around Montaina.
